This platform prioritizes professionals’ reputations over consumer protection. Beware—what you see on Bark may not reflect the truth. Letting professionals curate their own reviews is a major flaw, and it led me, and likely others, into financial and emotional harm.

Bark.com urgently needs to implement fair review policies to prevent consumers from falling victim to scams.

Amanda's website appears to contain only fake reviews. She gives the impression of being a scam artist, taking advantage of desperate people during some of the most vulnerable moments in their lives when they need genuine help.

I’m leaving this review because I believe it’s important to raise awareness when services fall short of professional standards, especially when trust and integrity are at stake. After reading through multiple comments and seeing firsthand how Amanda’s work can impact others, I feel compelled to share my thoughts as a strong believer in principles, fairness, and justice.

My experience with Amanda Vermeulen has been deeply troubling and frustrating due to severe case mismanagement, excessive billing, and unethical conduct throughout my legal proceedings. Despite paying close to £14,000 in legal fees, my case saw minimal progress and was ultimately left in disarray when Amanda abruptly terminated her representation.

From the outset, Amanda provided misleading advice, initially promising straightforward legal proceedings with limited costs. However, she repeatedly issued contradictory guidance and failed to meet critical court deadlines.

I was charged for tasks that were never performed, including messages that were never sent. Despite paying an initial £600 deposit, this one was not refunded and used for the time to response to my formal complaints, a clear breach of Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) guidelines. (edit: after posting this review and raising more complaints Amanda refunded the £600)

When I raised concerns about these issues and challenged her excessive fees, she abruptly ended her representation, leaving me unrepresented at a critical stage.

To make matters worse, after I disclosed my struggles with mental health, I noticed a sudden and sharp increase in charges, raising serious concerns about financial exploitation during a vulnerable time.

I strongly advise anyone seeking legal representation to avoid Amanda Vermeulen. Her handling of my case has caused significant financial and emotional distress, leaving me in a far worse position than when I initially sought her help.
