My dad passed away recently due to…

My dad passed away recently due to vascular dementia and Alzheimer's. He also had a variety of needs . Throughout our experience I have found the OLDHAM branch of this company to be adaptive, responsive, caring and flexible to my dad's needs which were ever changing.
Through the support of office and care team dad was able to stay at home right up to his passing. The team were caring and I felt went above and beyond for my dad. Adapting to his changeable needs in his final days. I cannot commend all of the team enough. thank you is not enough.

Excellent, Professional and Caring Care Company

I'm extremely impressed with Apex Prime Care Oldham. My mum had always been very independent but then sadly had a fall in November 2024 which left her very frail. From the outset we had excellent communication with the office staff in particular Michelle and Lisa who are always available to answer any questions and are extremely helpful, even at weekends. My mum mostly has the same daily carers, which is a great service in my opinion, because they know her. They are all kind, compassionate and caring with mum and help her to maintain her dignity which is important to mum. I really couldn't have wished for a more professional and caring company. Well done to all staff and thank you for helping my mum to stay in her own home where she wants to be.

I am lucky to have 2 of the best carers

We seem to have 2 of the best carers you could possibly imagine. Liz through the week and Paula on sundays both from the Apex primecare Brighton, They are completely trustworthy and they just seem to go that extra mile with their care. thats why I feel I must give credit where it is due and write this revue.

My wife who has alzeimers has the…

My wife who has alzeimers has the misfortune to be 'cared for' by this company, there has been problems I have emailed on 6 or 7 times never had a reply, rung and been told to ring the local number, it's no longer working the carer's they have sent only 2 have been good we specified female carer's only they disregard our wishes and send male carer's occasionally. The only solution as far as we are concerned is to find another company

Hello,
I thought you would appreciate some “customer feedback” re. Apex Prime Care – Worthing branch. My wife is bed-bound and was cared for by Care2connect for a number of years. They were taken over by Apex Prime Care approx.. 2 years ago. The actual day of the takeover was an absolute disaster. Many clients were left without any carers on that evening!! District Nurses and off duty carers were called to an emergency meeting at the Shoreham fire station.
It has not been a very good service from them at all. I appreciate that there is a shortage of carers. Approx. 1 year ago, Apex recruited a number of carers from the Philippines. They proved to be rather suitable and carried out their functions adequately. After some time, however, I understand that all of them left Apex. Apparently they found more suitable employment elsewhere. I heard that they were unhappy with the work they were given. They were working long hours and were not being allowed sufficient travelling time.
More recently Apex recruited carers from South Africa. They were also found to be suitable. I understand that they too, became disillusioned and had similar complaints as the carers from the Philippines. One has moved to another care company. The remaining carers are very unhappy with Apex and the treatment that they are being subjected to and want to leave Apex.
The conditions on their visas stipulate that they must be given 40hrs of work per week. They are contracted to Apex for a total period of 2 years.
As a result of the conditions on the visas, long serving carers are unable to work sufficient hours to maintain their usual standard of living. Some are obtaining work at a local nursing home. Some of them have been loyal employees for 8-10 years.
I had a call from Apex to say that they were scheduling a visit to carry out an assessment of my wife’s requirements. (She has Multiple System Atrophy and needs care 24/7 which I provide but still need 2 carers every morning). I very soon had a call from Apex to say that they were giving us 28 day’s notice and terminating our contract. I mentioned that they were due to come and assess my wife and was told that they do not have sufficient staff to cover our requirements. This has caused my wife and I a tremendous amount of stress and upset.
A number of office staff have also left the company in recent months.
I have just seen on the Companies House website for Apex Prime Care Ltd that existing directors appear to have resigned on 28th November.
Below is the statement that Malcolm Patrick the then MD made after having acquired Care2connect:
“Apex Prime Care Managing Director, Malcolm Patrick, commented “We are thrilled to be taking on two care providers with such deep roots in the community and look forward to bringing an apex level of care to clients, as well as supporting carers to achieve their full potential.”
It looks like he failed miserably to stick to his prediction!! (see next page)
