OMG what a difference a Tyre makes
Went in with two Hancock all season tyres booked came out with four due to one of the back tyres not being as it should, my motor had a lot of work done plus a service. But worth every penny she dances on the road again so light to steer so lovely to drive. Absolutely brilliant, Amy single lady that doesn’t want to get sold anything she doesn’t need go here they are straight up and thorough with their explanations. I purchased 4 tyres and a 4 wheel alignment for my car through blackcircles and arranged to have work completed at ATS euro master in Preston Lancashire. Booked in for 10am on a Friday, dropped car off at 9am. The car was not ready until 1pm. My wife took the car on a 450mile round trip the Monday after and noticed a severe vibration through the steering wheel at 55mph. Upon returning on the Wednesday, I contacted ATS reporting the issue, they were good enough to book the car back in the next morning. After examining the wheels, they re balanced and sent us on our way. I phoned them back after a test drive - the vibration had not gone but didn't start until 65mph now - the guy on the other end was very rude stating they don't get it wrong twice but agreed to look at it again the following week. I had lost confidence so took the car to JLG autos in Garstang. First off, they noted the tyres hadn't been correctly mounted (Red dot not aligned with marks on alloys). They checked the balance on all tyres, 3 were fine, near side front was 25g out. This was causing the issue. They removed all tyres, rotated to match the Red dots with the marks on the wheels and re balanced. The car is now faultless, no vibration at any speed. Dont bother with ATS in future.
