Scam shop

Someone at the door saying "I love your dress" to lure me inside the shop, then proceeded to give me a "free" treatment that just made my eyes tight for the rest of the night and also told me "I won't leave you looking like a zombie" and then giving you fake compliments afterwards. Price of the products are 350 and 1200, will say they give you a package of three of the "stem cell" products and then they expect you just to drop 300 dollars on stuff that made my skin red.

Don't be a fool like me!

This was one of the most uncomfortable and high-pressure business experiences I have ever had, and it was absolutely not what I expected when booking a “spa” facial.

First, where this product is sold - this does not feel like a spa environment at all. There was no relaxing or serene atmosphere whatsoever. The setup felt more like a retail storefront focused on selling products than an actual spa experience. The treatment rooms appeared to be separated by glass partitions near the main entrance area, offering very little privacy. After reading other reviews mentioning how loud it was during services, I completely understand what they meant. The overall vibe felt more like a Mall Sales kiosk than a spa.
I accidentally booked my facial for the wrong day and didn’t realize it until I arrived. Although the booking mix-up was entirely my mistake, I was offered a “complimentary” red light therapy session along with the Avinichi products. At first, I thought this was a kind gesture. Unfortunately, it quickly became clear that the real purpose was to aggressively sell extremely expensive red light therapy and facial products.

At the time I arrived, there were four employees present, but not a single esthetician actively performing spa services. Three employees were outside attempting to bring pedestrians in from the sidewalk while I was being heavily pitched inside by the fourth employee. What I initially thought was a consultation about skincare concerns turned into aggressive sales tactics almost immediately.
The pressure tactics were intense. Once I hesitated, the price suddenly dropped by thousands of dollars. Then came additional offers: free facials, free creams, discounts, and other incentives to close the sale. Looking back, it felt extremely manipulative and overwhelming.
Regrettably, I agreed to purchase the device and products in the moment. However, I realized almost immediately afterward that I had made a mistake. I returned to the store less than an hour later — before I had even gone back to my car — to request a return.
They refused.
That’s when I started learning about all the policies and restrictions that had never been clearly explained during the sales process. I was suddenly directed to signs posted near the front desk of the store about “no in-store returns,” informed that credit card processing fees were passed directly onto customers, and told I had “opened” the product packaging so it could not be returned — despite the employee specifically INSTRUCTING me to open the sealed package in-store to verify the contents.
I repeatedly asked for a phone number or manager I could speak with directly because I had just spent over $3,500 plus fees less than an hour earlier. Instead of addressing my concerns transparently, the employee would disappear into another room to discuss things privately and then return with vague answers.
The only reason I was eventually able to get any resolution was because I firmly stated I was prepared to publicly protest on the sidewalk about their poor and shady business practices in order to warn other consumers. It should never have to reach that point for a business to do the right thing.
Another thing I found concerning was the pattern in the review responses. All of the 1-star reviews receive nearly identical copy-and-paste replies asking customers to contact them privately rather than publicly addressing the concerns being raised. I also noticed many of the 5-star reviews sound unusually similar in tone and wording, which made it difficult for me to know which reviews genuinely reflected authentic customer experiences.
If you book a facial here, understand that you may be walking into an aggressive sales environment centered around expensive red light therapy and products rather than a traditional relaxing and inviting spa experience.
The only positive thing I can say is that this experience taught me a very valuable lesson: trust your instincts, slow down when pressured into expensive purchases, read everything in detail before signing anything, and pay attention to red flags.

Just Walk Out!

I was in the St. Helena store yesterday. Minding my own business in the town, enjoying my day off. Some young woman gave me a sample and asked me to come in, to try something. I sat in her chair and she put something under my eyes and it instantly started tightening my dark circles. I told her it felt exactly like a thing I was scammed into buying at a trade show in Vegas – something called Truffoire, approx 3 years ago. I told her I’d never used it, it did nothing and just threw it away a while ago. She proceeded to ask me about all my skincare and how much I was spending and, are you ready to see how unbelievable your eyes look now? Are you really ready? She showed me and it looked exactly like it did 3 years ago in Vegas with another similar product I was talked into. She began hard selling me, well, if it looks this good, why wouldn’t you buy it? Good? It looked ridiculous. I told her she was a snake oil type person. She asked all about my life, to turn it back around on me. She lowered her price by half to see if I would budge. I actually thought I was going to once again, walk out of that place with another product that I had no intention of using. I told her I needed to take a walk to think. She kept on pressuring me, even telling me they were closing for the day, at 3:00 pm. I told her she was full of shit. Wait, wait, let me give you my card. She made me come up to the counter and lowered her price again to the lowest of the low. I countered her with $100.00. She said no thankfully. I told her she was very good at this, but I’m better. I then walked out.

It left me with the most disgusting feeling – but I also was elated that I didn’t fall for it. Total relief. I knew exactly what this person was doing. To me, it’s amazing that a cute little town like St. Helena lets this continue. Or any town for that matter. It’s abusive, manipulative almost sociopath behavior. AND, it stung my eyes and felt like glue.

When I asked her if I purchased it, what if I didn’t like it. She said, we’re here, we are here. She said nothing about a return policy to me.

I’m sorry everyone who has gotten scammed by this company – it’s a horrible feeling.

Avinichi Hong Kong - unethical selling tactics

Avinichi at Hong Kong Wing On Department Store : Elderly Customer Allegedly Pressured into over HK$100,000 Purchase
I want to warn other families about our experience with Avinichi at the Wing On Department Store counter in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong.
My 88-year-old mother was allegedly kept at the counter for more than 3 hours on 28 April 2026 and ended up spending over HK$100,000 on skincare products, a beauty device, and 24 detox treatment sessions.
According to her helper, after the first transaction the salesperson did not return my mother’s credit card. Instead, she kept it in her folder and continued to sell more products. My mother’s card was swiped four times in over 3 hours and she was charged HK$103,300.
Her helper tried to intervene and suggest leaving, but the selling continued. My mother was left exhausted and confused afterwards, and said she felt as if she had been “hypnotised.”
We asked for a full refund, but Avinichi refused and offered only an exchange. The matter has already been reported to the Hong Kong Consumer Council and Hongkong Customs.
I am posting this because I believe families should be aware, especially when elderly relatives may be more vulnerable to high-pressure sales tactics.

Super aggressive people managing these kiosks at the mall. If your product is so great and at that ridiculous price why are you walking after people trying to put skin products on them and selling out of a KIOSK? This is definitely a high scam brand. Ladies....drink water, exercise to release toxins, always were sunscreen and eat healthy foods - especially greens and fruits - avocados and any berries - natural foods will support from the inside out!

My husband and me walked along the street when an Avinichi employee
reached out to me. He gave a sample to me and asked me to treat one of my eyes. The result was great at first view. During treating my eye he started asking strange questions like if we would intend to buy property in USA and stuff like that (we are Germans). I told him "no", we are happy Germans but he didn't let go and I got scared how to get away from this, because I didn't want to spend a fortune on eye-treatment. I told him I have to leave because my husband already moved on and I had to ask him...Don't know what had happened if I had been on my own.
He told me I have only to do this treatment once a week. But when I looked at mirror 6 hours later, I noticed that effects faded...and for all Ladys who are interested in an eye Laser treatment, I recommend a French Brand starting with "L". It Cost about 17 Eur and it is almost the same effect - for some hours - but unexpensive...

I have to say that the results are true. Wrinkles went away immediately. I was approached, aggressively, by a salesperson while on an excursion in Costa Maya. Normally, I would skip the taunt. I was, at this time, bloated and uncomfortable with my under eye bags caused by the tropical heat. When the product was applied I saw instant results. The salesperson asked what I typically pay for skin care. - a direct price line for them $$$. In short, I purchased the anti wrinkle that worked great while in the shop. I found it entertaining that I could provide immediate results to my friends. During my trip I used it to personally feel more confident- although very short lived. When home- as pure entertainment at a cost of $179. The product was a great entertainment for my circle of friends who saw immediate but short lived results. The big joke is that it’s just hemorrhoid swelling cream. I believe that now but totally worth the price for some fun!

But instead of just walking away and kindly declining, I was trapped in a sale and the lady baited me saying your so beautiful and I love your dress how old are you you look so young and just hit me with all the flattery questions and next thing I know I'm sitting in the God damn chair lol I needed up buying the freaking product and started second guessing and regretting my decision. Then when I checked the receipt I swear it was supposed to be on a sale and I don't see a sale price on there and it was also hard to understand her l. She also said it was her birthday 🎈🎂 and she was actually really pretty too

I was approached in Palm Springs

I was approached in Palm Springs, Ca. Very high pressure sale tactics. They put a sking tightener under your eye and try to sell you a system with hand held wand for 14,000. When I declined, he asked if I could afford it and gave me all kinds of guilt trips to convince me to buy. He kept lowering the price. He would NOT let me leave, my husband was waiting and we needed to go to lunch. The salesman acted mad at me, it was such a weird experence. They did talk me into spending 400 on some Vitamin C cream, which I'm sure was a scam as well. I wanted to report them, but couldn't find their store name.

Excellent

Within the first couple of weeks, my skin felt noticeably smoother and more hydrated. The fine lines around my eyes looked softer, and my overall complexion just seemed more refreshed and healthy. What I really love is that the products feel luxurious without being heavy or irritating, which has been an issue for me with other brands.

Avinichi- do not buy!

04-04- Tried reaching out again customer service and still no reply. Buyer beware once again!

Avinichi product purchased in Alaska last summer for $550. Product dispenser stopped working in February. Contacted Avinichi several times via email and they tell me to contact the seller in Alaska. The seller is untraceable and Avinichi will not stand behind their product. They completely stopped responding to my last 4 emails asking for a follow up. My request was not to get a free product but ask how I can fix this dispenser problem.

Was taken for a ride by these people in NYC. False advertising got me inside- they offered me a free sample. The free sample turned into them selling me 2 products for $300 + a free voucher for a facial consult. The facial consult takes place in their basement and they kept me there until I agreed to pay. They started by messily covering one side of my face with unknown products and got it all over my hair and my clothes. Then used a device that was supposed to give off heat but I felt nothing. They tried to sell me this device for $12,000. I said it’s out of my budget, I don’t have that kind of money, I’d love to but I can’t. I told her I had an appointment to get to and she would not let me leave the store without paying something. She said for today only I can do it for $5,000. I told her again I don’t have that kind of money. She finally unwillingly agreed to allow me to pay $189 for 1 facial and was nasty to me while taking my payment. This was a bait and switch technique to sell a product that nobody has ever heard of at extremely high prices that made me feel so uncomfortable that I paid them just so I could leave the store. Totally unethical and illegal. If anyone is interested in a class action suit I have the representation ready to go.

“Queen Bee” in Vail

We were in Vail, walking thru the shops when a nice man called out and offered free skincare samples…we should have kept walking! our experience is the same as everyone, high, high pressure sales, all about this amazing product using stem cells to repair damaged, wrinkled skin, which led to a “skin care expert,” applying all this goop on our faces the whole time talking very fast making incredible, unbelievable promises about this product and magic wand. He started at $13,000 for the magic wand and as we refused the price kept coming down, esp if we would give him a 5 star review!! Luckily we got out of there but it was an awful experience! The results they promised looked good for about 2 hours, then it all faded. This is a big scam!

I am an older woman

I am an older woman, and was approached from a mall kiosk to buy this product. The salesperson was very pushy and would not take no for an answer. They tried a cream on my eyes to support their claims. It did help but within 2 hours, was pulling my bottom eyelid down to expose the inner part of my eye. It worked like a glue but was definitely not what they claimed. The initial asking price for this was $480. They continued to drop the price until he pulled a box out of his register saying it was damaged and would I take it for $150, then signed me up for a facial. Are you kidding me! Don’t do it

Avoid the Soap Tree At All Cost

I went to the Northridge Fashion Center on Thursday, hoping for a safe and enjoyable shopping trip. It started pleasantly until I came across this store called the Soap Tree. I didn't want to go inside, but I was strongly pressured to try their products. Then one of the sales reps manipulated me and wouldn't let me leave until I purchased their eye wrinkle-reversal cream. This came out to 275 dollars, which I did not intend to spend at all. It started at 150, and then for another 100 I would get the facial. I was highly pressured into spending money I did not have on this. Then the man tried pressuring me into buying treatments ranging from 6,000 to 20,000. I did not have that kind of money, and he tried every trick in the book to make me pay that kind of money. This left me feeling incredibly depressed, without money for basic necessities and feeling used and manipulated. This business is very shady and is only going to bring a bad taste to the northridge fashion center.

Superb scam star away

I just bought this product in New Orleans, and it's a complete scam, a very well-executed one at that. You can tell it's been carefully planned and perfectly implemented. The young woman who sold me the product is incredibly skilled, but after trying it, I realized it only has a very short-lived effect. The promises they make are outrageous, and when you refuse to buy, she offers you a product with a half-torn box at half price! In short, a superb scam! Stay away!

Unbelievable High Pressure Sales Tactics at An AVINICHI Store in Hong Kong!!

A month ago, we were subjected to unbelievable high pressure sales tactics at an Avinichi store by a senior beauty consultant in Causeway Bay in Hong Kong.

After being ushered into their store, my wife was reluctantly subjected to a long 30 minutes sales session to test and buy this unbelievable new moisturiser cream which supposedly removes baggy skin from eyes, applied by this fancy looking chrome applicator.
It had all seem to work pretty successfully, but whether it was going to be permanent or not we weren't sure.

Then we told that it would cost HK$14,000.
Wow we thought!

Then still being unsure, the price was then reduced down to HK$10,000.
Still unsure, the store manager came out of his office and advised that their best and final price would be HK$8,000......only if we purchase the product there and then.

A eftpos/credit card machine was then brought out to seal the deal.
Gosh.... talk about high pressure sale tactics!

We said that we were still undecided (of course the product still being so expensive}, and that we would wait a day to think about it.

Of course, we never returned to that store the very next day!

Avinichi isn't what it claims to be

While in Vail in July, 2025, I purchased an Avinichi eye cream (Wrinkle Reversal Solution) from Vail Cosmetics / Vail Skin Philosophy. The stores promoted Avinichi as some kind of medical-grade skincare with permanent anti-aging results. The sales pitch was aggressive and manipulative, with claims of dermatologist endorsements and fake urgency (“only today,” “exclusive pricing,” etc.).

After researching the ingredients, I learned the cream only provides temporary effects, not the medical results claimed. Things like silicates, mica, and pigment that only mask lines temporarily. Nothing that supports the permanent ‘wrinkle reversal’ Avinichi and its retailers advertise.

I reached out to Avinichi directly to alert them to the deceptive business practices and false endorsements their retailers are engaging in – which yielded zero results.

After posting factual reviews about my experience and the products, the store owner tried to pressure me into removing them in exchange for a refund, with texts, voicemails, and emails from a dubious “customer service” address, coercing me to remove my reviews.

The Avinichi website markets lofty claims, with no real results or credible proof. The FTC Health Products Compliance Guidance (Dec 2022) requires competent and reliable scientific evidence for claims of structural or lasting effects from marketers, which includes cosmetics. And last I looked, the website listed nearly 2,000 reviews, with 99% of them being 5 star; the other 1% is 4 star. Begs the question of authenticity.

My experience aligns with many other consumer complaints about these same operators under different store names and product labels. Be very cautious. This is not a legitimate luxury skincare brand, but part of a well-documented pattern of scams. I’ve reported the store and Avinichi’s marketing practices to the appropriate consumer and regulatory agencies for review.
