Balfe's Bikes - Dulwich Avis 

The fellas at the East Dulwich store are top notch! Honestly every time I come into store I’m greeted with a smile and they get the job done incredibly quick and professionally. I would recommend buying and/or for repairs with Balfes East Dulwich!

Visited the Dulwich branch after work; easy to find and get to. I visited on this occasion to collect an online order ahead of a big ride. The staff there were very friendly and helpful. Pricing for most essential high-quality items are competitive and reasonable. There is a good selection available online and in-store. Additionally, there are free bike stands inside the store meaning you don't need to lock it outside and risk your ride being stolen

A good service

Service was great as usual. Balfe’s were helpful when I went in impromptu and asked to test ride the bike I saw in the window. They processed the order timely and were patient and understanding when I had to delay the build and pick up by several weeks. This the 4th bike I’ve purchased from Balfe’s over the past 18 months and the service has always been excellent.

Have nothing positive to say about this bike shop. They truly embody incompetence with poor communication thrown in for good measure. Every single part of dealing with them was painful. Would in no way recommend

not rating this branch higher simply due to orders taking too long to process, enquiries taking too long to resolve and the tech mechanics kinda being very secretive or not taking the time to explain or help with more in depth issues - if not spending money on a service - was annoying being told to goto youtube all the time instead of trying to help/ take time in the shop
the staff are very polite and helpful to a point
overall happy with service just could be a bit more personal

Had some initial communication challenge where the bike in-take didn't quite make it properly onto their system, so it took a bit longer than I'd expected (I would have just brought the bike in a few days later) but they fixed both the screechy brakes and figured out the cause of the odd noise my frame was making. Very happy to be riding properly again with no worries, reasonable price too

Served by Mark who was so helpful in advising us on our first bike purchase including kitting us out with all safety equipment and providing tailored advice based on price and safety concerns and style.

I've had a long standing 'creaking sound' somewhere on my bike that other bike shops have failed to ameliorate; after trying a few options Mike located the issue and fixed it; thank you Mike. While its good for me, it's less so for Balfes as they lost out on me buying a new bike.

Lost order
Firstly your message about the expected delivery of my bag was overly categorical, as it did not arrive at the time apparently promised.
Secondly I had to chase up the local shop (East Dulwich) several times in person and on the phone. A waste of mine and their time
Thirdly as the bag was apparently lost somewhere, I cancelled the order, but it turned up a couple of days later!
Finally the staff were helpful in person, but could not find the bag, so you lost a sale.
