Bensons For Beds - Uddingston650 Avis 

My mum (has dementia) ordered a bed on 4/1/26, regretted it the day after but thought she didn't have any rights so said nothing, after speaking with her on the 12th she wanted to cancel. I contacted HQ, explained the situation and they agreed that a cancellation and full refund should take place but said to speak to the manager of the store where the order was placed. Spoke with the assistant manager who is trying to impose a 20% cancellation fee as 'the bed will be cut and fabricated'. I am in the process of looking at the consumer act to get a full refund for my mum. (she has been waking up during the night upset that she's spent close on 3K on a bed). The service has been accusatory, when the sales person has no experience of how Alzheimers sufferers feel and make decisions. Support could be better but I feel I have a bit of a fight to get the refund as it's 1 day beyond what Bensons for Beds state in their terms. It would have been a better experience if the Uddingston store took the view of HQ and agreed fully. I'm happy to take legal advice to pursue.

From sales to delivery all aspects were extremely satisfactory

From the initial discussion with the sales person to the delivery and installation this has been a most excellent process. Communication was extensive and it was so easy to change the proposed delivery date to a more suitable one. The app to track the driver location on the day was an unexpected bonus. The installers could not have done more for us and I would use Bensons again.

The sales staff were helpful without being pushy or overbearing and gave us the information we needed to make our selection. The communication from the company was excellent so we knew exactly when our delivery would be and it was right on time. The delivery staff were polite and respectful - it was a pleasure to deal with them - and they did their job without any fuss or bother. I have recommended this company to friends.

Went in on Sunday 28th to buy a new mattress.
Everything was very easy from trying out mattresses to purchasing it from Sandra(I think her name was)

We were served by Sandra at the Uddingston shop. She helped us work our way through what we were looking for and how check prices etc, with or without headboard, end board, ottoman or drawers. Sandra was very knowledgeable, friendly an helpful. All the staff were friendly but we waited for Sandra as we had spoken to her before.

From showroom to delivery we were treated in a very good way.

Staff very attentive couldn’t do enough for us, spoke us through everything from start to finish of our purchasing journey, would definitely recommend.

Maureen that assisted us was fantastic, very helpful and knowledgeable about a wide range of products letting us make a informed choice

Very helpful explaining the different mattresses, bases and headboards. Explaining care of your new mattress and to call if experiencing any difficulties.

Delivery men were so helpful and couldn’t do enough for me to make delivery possible whilst decorating was ongoing

When we entered the shop a lovely lady called Heather dealt with us she was very efficient and explained everything in detail and helped us decide the best deal for us

It’s all about the staff. Maureen was amazing. She looked after us and made spending a pile of money on something really bland a good experience. There is nothing cool about buying a mattress but the science behind it and experience dealing with Maureen made it much easier.

Delivery drivers were extremely careful handling the heavy boxes and took them in to my home and left them exactly where u requested

Maureen helped me understand the different types of mattresses available and her deep insight was valuable in helping me to make an informed decision. She offered her opinion after listening to my needs, but she didn't impose her opinion. She was friendly and a joy to buy from.
