Clissold leisure centre is in my experience, only been twice so far, very well maintained. It's clean and staff are polite and helpful. Very impressed with the swimming lessons sprog attends.... Voir plus

I’ve been coming to Better Gym Clissold for a while, and I really wanted to take the time to recognise Hamza for the excellent work he does.
Hamza is one of those people who genuinely makes a difference. He is always friendly, respectful, and approachable, and he makes the effort to speak to members and make everyone feel welcome. Whether he is helping a member, having a quick conversation, or simply making sure everything is running smoothly, he always does it with a positive attitude.
What I particularly appreciate is that Hamza doesn’t just focus on the obvious parts of his role. He works hard to keep the gym floor clean, tidy, and safe, and you can see that he takes real pride in maintaining a good environment for everyone.
His hard work can sometimes go unnoticed because he quietly gets on with what needs to be done, but as a regular member, I definitely notice and appreciate it.
Hamza is a credit to Better Gym Clissold and deserves recognition for his dedication, professionalism, and the positive atmosphere he helps create. Keep up the amazing work, Hamza! 👏🏽💪🏽

Good gym with good staff
Overall, the gym has almost everything you need for now. However, just need bit more transformation. Heard from staff that the gym will be expanding the gym area with improved swimming facilities, so thats a good news for us, weight lifters. The gym has anti-bacterial wipes and tissues for hygiene purpose. Thats very gd! Some other gyms dont even have basic wipes.
Staff Hamza, Layla and Bilal are good. Layla and Hamza has always been approachable. Hamza has corrected my lat machine pull ups and even supported me with incline bench press ( many females will avoid that due to fear) however Hamza is always very supportive with gym fitness. I have personally seen him training young boys which s positive. Layla also very friendly and gives supportive induction classes. I think we need staff like them to create positivity amongst gym goers. Gym can get busy around 5pm to 7pm but hopefully with gym refurbishment, we have more machines to train with. Thanks Clissold.

My experience at Clissold Leisure…
My experience at Clissold Leisure Centre was wonderful. The staff were very friendly, and the facilities were clean and well-equipped. I would like to give special thanks to Hamza for his help in the new sports hall section. He is a professional, always dedicated, and he is always friendly with people and customers, and he is always smiling. In addition, my work started well at the centre, and I feel comfortable and continuously supported. I also thank the reception team, as they are always smiling and their faces are bright. Thank you all so much, and I especially thank Hamza and the reception team for everything.

I’ve had a great experience at Clissold Leisure Centre. Hamza is always really helpful and takes the time to give advice, answer questions, and suggest useful ideas to improve my workouts. As a member, I’ve found his support really valuable and it’s made a big difference to my training. Gym floor staff
I’ve always found the staff at the gym/leisure centre to be really friendly, welcoming and helpful. Layla, Bilal and Hamza are all lovely people who are easy to talk to and always seem happy to help whenever you need anything. They really do make the place feel more welcoming.
I’d especially like to mention Hamza. He’s always friendly, approachable and goes out of his way to help people. He has a great attitude, is brilliant with the members and is someone you can have a proper conversation with. In my opinion, he’s a real asset to the gym.
All three are a credit to the centre, and I hope their hard work and the positive difference they make doesn’t go unnoticed. Staff like these are a big part of what makes people enjoy coming back.

I’ve really enjoyed my experience at this gym. The atmosphere is great, the facilities are well maintained, and there’s always a welcoming and friendly environment.

I joined the Clissold Leisure Centre a week ago and have already been so impressed with the helpful and friendly induction, quality of equipment and cleanliness of the space. The amount of activities available is great and booking has been a breeze. Looking forward to many more visits!

The showers up stair are not ventilated…
The showers up stair are not ventilated and often feel unhygienic . Realise they are cleaned but what a mess left by members. They were far better before. There are drain flys down stairs in the changing rooms. There is not enough equipment. Infact broken machines that have been sitting with signs on for over a month. Not enough weights . Can be waiting over 15 mins whilst people hog the machines. It was far better 10 years ago. Also the toilets on the ground floor the water is boiling hot to wash hands. This is bad for the environment. There are also children on some days that need supervision for health and safety that are using the machines. Too young to be using the machines and not sure why the gym allows it.

The Better App is not fit for purpose
The Better App is not fit for purpose. Booking in advance is a nightmare, the App keeps buffering, states activity is full on-line but in person is not. Better have a huge membership and really need to get the issues with the App sorted out.

People don’t swim in the specified…
People don’t swim in the specified direction which can cause collisions, life guards could point this out to swimmers
Difficult to put clothes or anything in lockers because it’s the walk way to the pool so therefore you have to keep closing the locker to let people by, to narrow.

My daughter loves the swimming lessons
My daughter loves the swimming lessons. She says she has learned to swim without the floaters, and she is very happy.
The only minus is that the ginger biscuits in the cafe don't taste like they have much ginger inside them.

Pretty decent
Overall a good gym but - could do with another pec fly machine and much better water refill in the gym upstairs as countless times it’s not working. I also think there’s too many treadmills - the elevate room could do with being split in half, mirror putting at the other end and another free weights section with benches.
