Sharon’s Tuesday and Thursday classes are where the magic happens. She doesn’t just lead a class; she teaches you to truly understand your body. Every movement is broken down with such clarity, ensuring that when you leave, your muscles feel exactly how they should – worked, stretched, and activated. Sharon’s attention to detail makes every session feel like a personalized workout, and I always leave knowing I’ve pushed my body to its limit, in the safest, most effective way possible. Her classes aren't just workouts – they're transformations.

Carlos – The Energizer
Carlos on Wednesdays and Fridays is the human embodiment of energy. His classes are an explosion of life, making every second feel like a celebration. The beat of the music matches his contagious energy, pulling you into a rhythm that makes you forget you're even working out. By the end of his sessions, you're drenched in sweat, heart pumping, and full of adrenaline. But more than that, you feel alive. Carlos doesn’t just make you sweat – he makes you feel invincible. Rosemary – The Climb to Everest
Rosemary's Monday and Saturday classes are a whole different level. From the moment you start, you know you're in for a ride. The intensity is unmatched, and within minutes, you'll feel like you've just scaled Everest. But here’s the thing – as tough as her sessions are, you don’t just survive them; you thrive. Her classes push you to your peak potential, and you leave with a sense of accomplishment that no other workout can give. Aurora – The Leg Shaper Extraordinaire
Aurora’s LBT class on Sundays is my personal favorite weekly reminder that legs can hurt in the best way possible. It’s the kind of class where the pain is a sign of progress, and each movement carves out strength and definition. By the time I walk out, I can feel that satisfying burn in my legs all week long. Aurora’s ability to combine intensity with precision ensures that every rep counts, and she has this remarkable way of motivating you to keep pushing even when your legs are screaming for mercy. Her class is not for the faint-hearted – but if you want strong, sculpted legs, this is where you need to be.

All of these incredible instructors make Better Vauxhall my go-to place every single day. They each bring something unique to the table, ensuring that no two days feel the same.

The classes are fantastic, especially those taught by Rosemary and Carols. I also have a great time with Volkan in Zumba. The only issue is that we don't have 3 kg weights, which are essential for these classes. The gym recently purchased new sets of hand weights, but unfortunately, they only have 4 kg and 2 kg options. I often need to bring my own 3 kg weights from home. Also more space on the gym floor will be good for doing own experiences without using machines with a good grip floor not laminated one.

My favourite place. Starting at reception a young man Djon his presence brings good energy to the front of house always helping members sort out dramas understands the the neurodiverse. Djon always has positive energy towards the members how can’t we keep coming back. But on the other hand those changing rooms and showers are filthy and disgusting i take my own antibacterial wipes to clean. And the pool has been freezing over the last few months that my joints can’t handle. If only the everyone was like D’jon and cared enough about members wellbeing.

Last Wednesday, I attended a HIT Class, and it was an amazing experience! The exercises were super dynamic and perfectly matched with the Latin music that the instructor, Carlos, chose. I loved how the rhythm of the music helped keep my cardio going without being too intense, which was perfect for me since I can’t lift heavy weights.
Additionally, I’d like to praise the gym manager, who has done an excellent job improving the environment with new equipment. I highly recommend the space and the rit class for anyone looking for an energetic and effective workout experience!

I have been a member for 8+ years. Angelique has always been a pleasure - extremely helpful. Rosemary, Sharon & Aurora have the best classes. Their classes are more than worth braving the cold and the rain for. They are all incredibly motivating, fun and dedicated to ensuring we’re using the right technique/ making accommodations. The classes are better than Active Lambeth!

Levi is the most lovely woman who took time to explain everything to me. She is so patient and thoughtful. She is perfect for customer facing. Thanks for such impeccable service.

I’ve got a 10 year old autistic child. Decided to start doing private swimming lessons for him. We were promptly introduced to Nick who is one of the swimming teachers. 6 months plus in, my son’s ability and confidence has grown beyond expectations! The service generally is good. Clean Changing rooms, friendly staff and etc. However, personally Nick has definitely played a major role in the value this gym offers! He’s always professional, always on time, super patient and passionate! He has genuinely made a positive impact not only on my son’s swimming ability but also in his personal life too. Due to this, this leisure centre easily deserves a 5 star rating!

I joined Better Vauxhall mainly for the pool and gym facilities, however after trying Volkan’s Zumba class I never looked back have been addicted since! Volkan is a wonderful person and his classes are always joyful no matter what and have really helped fall in love with moving and dancing again! I couldn’t recommend it more!

Zumba instructor who brings energy, passion, and pure joy to every class, look no further! Volkan is absolutely phenomenal. His vibrant personality and high-energy routines make every session feel more like a dance party than a workout. He knows how to motivate and inspire, making sure everyone—regardless of skill level—feels welcome and empowered.

His enthusiasm is contagious, and his choreography is both fun and effective, leaving you sweaty, smiling, and eager for the next class. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned dancer, he ensures you get the most out of every movement while having an absolute blast.

I love this center, I use the pool regularly and the staff are excellent , there’s new management in place and you can see the difference , they are pro active and actually engage with customers ,

The gym is nice but it used to be cleaner few months ago. Since the kids have joined the female changing room is a dirty mess! That is unpolite tiwards the staff and the other users of the gym. There are more people joining the activities it should be provided more tidying up in turns. I have never seen same people cleaning! Only sitting at the reception. I do not see any staff doing the cleaning, not to mention again as often as they were before.
What would be useful also is having at least one member of the staff doing a round in the gym to see if we, the costumers need to ask something about the machine or advising about exercising. That's a pity all the good things have been dismissed. I hope they could be back to them.

Been a member for a few months, gym has great options and variety, installations are always clean and staff is friendly. Sienna is the best instructor, makes my Saturday workouts extra motivating!

The facilities are nice and clean. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help.
The only problem I have is that the sauna and steam room are always full and that people don't respect the signs the staff has posted on the door announcing silence for optimal relaxation. I would like the sauna hours to be extended so there aren't too many people in at once. I would also like them to repair the broken wood inside the sauna so the cold doesn't get in and the heat inside is adequate.

Love coming to Vauxhall Leisure Centre for a swim! The pool is always clean and the perfect temperature and the changing rooms are always spotless. The staff here are super friendly and helpful, from the reception team to the lifeguards they make the whole experience even better. Definitely one of the best places to swim in London!

I’m a regular swimmer before covid times until today and I really enjoy the pool, steam room and sauna facilities.
Reception team is professional and friendly. Sofas by the reception area are a good idea, it’s only missing a water fountain to refill bottles. However, cleaning standards in the last 6 months is below average, very bad! Changing room cubicles are dirty and messy and sometimes they smell pee after kids swimming lessons. Very bad housekeeping, not cleaning maintenance at all!!! Showers are disgusting, too.

Also, lifeguards during patrol and on duty they have earbuds and listening music from their mobiles, specifically the Spanish speaking ones. Unprofessional 100%! Not feeling safe at all! Unbelievable!

It’s super clean it’s spotless. The staff are helpful, I’ve been coming there since the first opened 2019 or whatever i after lockdown we had to change by the pool walk round the pool to shower and come out the back way which was a bit of a nightmare, but Hard work staff all I do is shower and into the pool it’s the same depth all the way along, which is good if you put your foot down it only I’ve been banned until January 2027 Reson unknown? No discussion no meeting so now have to go to zBrixton a 75yr old Penshioner with Sever Asthma & COPD most disillusioned & depressed most unexpected on Crutches

Why has Better in Vauxhall upped the age for Seniors to 66yrs when nearly every other London Better has remained at 55 years?

Employees always make me feel welcome, I love the classes and I love the fact that I am remembered. Only thing I’ll change is female toilet needs to be cleaned more. Other than that, I love it here !

I’ve done yoga class , core conditioning, Pilates class , group cycle with Volkan he made the class absolute fun will definitely book him every single time . Everyone here is so attentive and friendly . I also do private swimming lessons with Nicholas great teacher . I live 10 minutes away I don’t know why I didn’t join sooner overall I rate this gym 10000/100 and it’s very clean .
