Got delivered new Whyte Shoreditch v2 hybrid,
Pedal snapped off on second ride out and I was told it was due to installation.
I have fitted numerous pedals and and can do most servicing of an MTB.
The pedal arm was faulty but the after sales left a lot to be desired.
I am now awaiting a new crankset at my own expense.

The bike, Genesis Day One. was very well packed and delivered without problems. It was evident that the bike had been checked and prepared for easy final assembly when it arrived

At the very start of the pandemic when we really didn’t have a full grasp of what this would be like, the team at Billy Bilsland put out a social media post offering their hire bikes free of charge to nhs staff who would normally use public transport (like me) to get to work. At the time there was a huge fear of being on public transport (mandatory masks hadn’t been put in place) and catching covid, therefore, not being in work to help when we really needed all hands on deck or being the one to give it to other commuters (testing facilities were not fully in place yet either). I jumped at the chance of having another, safer means of transport.

Neil was great he sent me away with a bike and all the bits I needed to go with it. I had the bike for over a year!! I’d been in a few times to look at bikes but there was no pressure at any point to buy one until the right one came along. I actually called at one point as I was worried I’d had the bike for too long but Neil was so reassuring and humble. I’d also been in with the hire bike after a few accidents and the team were amazing. They were so understanding and fixed the bike the same day (even though it was close to closing time) so I didn’t have to bus it home. Anytime I was in the shop the staff were all so friendly, knowledgeable and patient. There was a few times people showed up without an appointment needing help. I never once saw anyone being turned away despite the fact they were always extremely busy! They really went out their way to help people and it was lovely to witness that kindness.

Today I came to collect my very own bike and hand back the hire bike. Again the service was fantastic. I really appreciate all that Neil and his team have done for me. The bike ended up being more than a commuting bike. It allowed me to get out and exercise during lockdown and was an escape from the madness that we are living in. I cannot thank them enough!

Ellie was incredibly helpful in my quest for a good comfortable saddle. She allowed me to try several, and took time with me riding through the local park to test them out. She let me borrow one for a couple of weeks to test it on longer rides and when it didn't work out she provided another one to test out! She was always friendly and prefessional in all our interactions, responded to emails very quickly, and was full of great advice. I now have a great saddle that allows me to go on long rides without pain and i am extremely grateful for this amazing service!! Will definitely be back for any other bike needs.

The un packing the bike was awkward and could have been done better and since the bike has been set up there are noises from the crank so not a great experience so far

Really helpful and efficient. I was kept informed all the way and was given very helpful directions and parking suggestions. The bike was prepared quickly as it was a birthday present and after having had a lot of trouble previously trying to get the particular model and having been previously let down I was so glad to have been put in touch with this company.

As always great service- happy to discuss the bikes and take time to organise what you need (without the condescending attitude you can sometimes come across with bike shops!) No pressure to buy, although you almost certainly will.
