Looks good but quality does not follow

Looks good - quality is not impressive and most of all - spare part is to buy whole new unit because worn bearings. Older 5 eur fan is still running as bad as it did when it was new. 3 Boneco's are going in trash bin - unfortunately

H700

H700 - Works perfect for my family in our living room - I can set the humidity level I like and the active carbon filter removes also the cooking smell - it is not cheap (round CHF 1000) but excellent purifier / humidifier!

Poor start- Great finish

I have had this fan for 6 months (f230 model). I used it in June for one night and was not impressed. Then three nights ago I got it out again, was disappointed that it only cooled the air where it was facing. The rest of the room was still hot. So I decided to give this product a poor review, however, I visited Boneco’s website and found out that if I pointed the fan at the ceiling you got an ‘air shower’, within seconds I could feel the difference. It’s not quietest fan but it does a great job of cooling the room.

It’s lost a mark because the manuals that come with the product fail to specify how to get the best from the fan!

Do not buy a Boneco H680 or 700…

Do not buy a Boneco H680 or 700 Humidifier/Air Purifier. Besides costing 1000 USD there are absolutely no replacement parts. The evaporator mat has been out of stock globally for over a year making this very expensive unit worthless. No word from Boneco on when they will be available. Mat is supposed to be replaced and doesn't last long.

Not cheap but perfect for me...

I bought a F235 fan for my sleeping room - up to level 7 or 8, the air shower effect is amazing and I had a good rest - couldn`t hear it - it is not cheap but a amazing fan!

More Expensive Doesn't Necessarily Mean Better Value

I found this a little cheaper elsewhere but had also seen this on IW.

I bought it in May 2022 and was actually really happy with the fan. No fan is going to be silent, even if they promise it, but luckily the noise didn't bother us and we didn't find it excessively noisy. it was a good fan.

September 2022 and it's stopped working. Switched it on last night and it was really noisy. The blades generally stopped turning (meaning sometimes you got a breeze from it, sometimes you didn't) but it was the melting plastic smell that made me switch it off completely.

This fan retails at around £150. I deliberately bought a more expensive one because i wanted a good one, and i wanted one that would last a few years. I wish I'd checked the reviews a bit more widely than I did otherwise I'd've gone for something else.

I'm hoping to be able to get a return through the retailer, and I have also connected Boneco, hoping that they will advise and do the right thing. Judging by the other reviews here I don't have much hope. If they offer a replacement I might take it, depending on the warranty (ie if it packs up in another 3 months, what then?).

I will come back and update here (if I remember!) once whatever happens, happens.

I am hoping it will all be, of course...... cool.

UPDATE: i was contacted by the company after someone there saw this review, and i can honestly say they've been proactive and done all they can to help. hopefully this was just one of those occasions where i got a duff one that got past quality control. it's my firm belief that the motor packed up (especially after it went pop a bit later!).
after a couple of phone calls and returning the fan, i got a refund, and didn't need to chase. so i can't fault the customer service at boneco or viking. of course i was annoyed at the inconvenience but to be fair, they were on the case. i've put it two stars back up just for that experience.

Boneco F220 fan

Bought the Boneco F220 fan from Ideal World as looked good on the TV and from what the presenters were saying. Got it and it's rubbish no better than a normal fan and when you tilt it the rattling sound is unbearable. Was packed back up straight away and returned.

Hi John, I`m sorry that you were disappointed. The rattling sometimes occurs, if the fan blade gets loose while transport - we are working on improvements to reduce these effect.

Noisy. Useless...just two words to sum them up

We just bought two of these fans via Ideal World shopping channel and the small USB powered one is good, sadly the next one, the desktop one is a total pile of rubbish. It is so noisy that you could not possibly sleep with it on. All this and the claims from Ideal World that they are silent is total misleading information, borderline bare faced lying. How Boneco can make these claims about their products is beyond me. They are noisier than those old swing side to side pedestal fans that click at the end of each pass. Boneco and Ideal World should be prosecuted for false advertising.

Absolutely useless fan

Absolutely useless fan. Don’t understand how these fans get excellent reviews elsewhere, makes me think those reviews are false. I bought the f120 for bedroom. It was so noisy, even on the lowest setting it sounded like an engine!. Doesn’t work as good as a normal fan. I’ve returned it.

FAN STILL UNDER WARRANTY BUT REFUSED TO HELP MY TERMINALLY ILL DAD

He is terminally ill with severe COPD

We bought the F230 fan last summer, after summer we put it away

We came to get it out a few days ago and the plastic tube that connects the fan to the base had cracked

I contacted Boneco on the 5th July, I received an email yesterday.....

Good morning

Apologies for the delay in responding to your email. We have many people off at the moment and we are extremely busy.

I'm afraid the only solution we have is to supply you with a replacement pole at the price quoted below. I will have a word with our manager, but unless we had a damaged fan, there is no other alternative - we can't send out items free of charge - I'm so sorry.

Please let us know if you would like to go ahead and place an order.

Boneco Rubbish

Bought Boneco 210 'shower fan's in July '22 from Ideal World. Really useless. Cannot believe all the positive reviews on their site. Very suspicious.
We have smallish rooms, 12' by 12' with 9' ceilings so no issue there. Did do a home improvement by putting a couple of frozen cool box blocks on a tray under fan, does not add to its appearance but helps cool the room.
Last thing I ever buy from shopping channel or overly rely on it's own site reviews.
1star for looks
1 star because it works better now I made improvements.

Because of my husband health condition…

Because of my husband health condition we purchase Air purifier to keep the Air clean in the bedroom and living room he as two lung diseases and heart disease the Boneco P400. Started smellying then smoking for our safety we had to chuck it out side because of the fault we contacted a lawyer who is now dealing with the matter bear in mind we are going through a crisis at the moment they have offered no help what so ever with my husband it is 21/3/2020 we are self isolated.
