I would give zero stars if I could
I would give zero stars if I could. We just transferred our 3 dogs here. We brought in one dog in early July for her annual physical and vaccines. They said let’s split the vaccines because she’s a smaller dog and I was fine with that because our other vet did that too. They gave her the vaccines they chose to in July and we set up another appointment in August. What I didn’t know is they saved her rabies vaccine for August and you have to have an exam with that vaccine, so when we went in August I was charged for an exam AGAIN. I called and spoke to HEATHER, the office manager, and asked why wouldn’t they have given our dog the rabies in July when we were at her annual exam and then give vaccines that don’t require an annual exam in August. This way I only would have to pay for an exam one time (per year). She told me they don’t think about how they can save their clients money. They are too busy. They just schedule and see where clients can fit in the schedule. She asked me why didn’t I think of that. I explained to her I had no idea I would have to pay for another exam in August. I’m not a vet. I wouldn’t know that. And in the last 22 years of having dogs, that has never happened to us for me to even have knowledge/experience on that. She didn’t care and said they can’t look out for their customers like that because they are too busy. I personally think that’s partially true, but also think it’s a money grab for their office because clients like me, who don’t know how things work, get taken advantage of and most people probably don’t even realize. It’s a way for them to get more money from their clients.
Heather should not be the office manager. Her sarcastic way of talking and lack of care are not leadership qualities. To be an office manager you need to bridge that gap between the office and the client. This is not something she seemed capable of.
