I had this company purchase my vehicle on Motorway, the individual they sent was relentless, disrespectful and rude.
I don’t know if they were expecting to come and view a brand-new car which mine wasn’t (it was a seven year-old car with 70,000 miles). Pointed out there was (wear on the seat) I told him yes it’s a seat you use it to sit on. stone chips and other nonsense that you would expect wear and tear on a 7 year old vehicle, also the individual said that there was major mechanical issues with my vehicle (to the point it concerned me so much I immediately took it down to my local garage paid a diagnostics fee of £168) for the garage to tell me there was absolutely nothing wrong with my vehicle, it was in perfect working order.
So in short, I missed a days work, lost £168 to diagnose my vehicle unnecessarily because they sent a scam artist to my house!
Completely and utterly disgusting.
Would never use them or motorway again!

I had a really good experience in Carbase Bristol last Saturday. Both Joe and Alastair were super friendly and helpful what eased the whole process. We successfully purchased a car and left the place with smiles on our faces.

Matthew was very helpful right from the start. Always there to answer any questions. The only thing I have a few questions about was afterwards we found the heating wasn't working properly and I feel these things should have been checked before the sale. Now it needs to go back for it to be looked at.

I purchased a car from Carbase which was advertised as having passed a 120-point RAC check. Part of that check clearly states that brake pads should have at least 50% life remaining.
However, shortly after purchase, it became clear that the brake pads did not meet this standard. In fact the MOT carried out shortly before purchase even advised that the rear pads should be replaced. This raises serious concerns about whether the inspection was properly carried out or if corners were cut.
I contacted Carbase multiple times to raise this issue, the responded initially but could not provide any proof they had been checked and asked for a report from a garage. I sent them the report stating that they had little life left in them and since then I have received no response. Being ignored when raising a legitimate concern about a safety-related component is extremely disappointing.
I have now been left to cover the cost of replacing the brake pads myself, which should not have been necessary if the vehicle had genuinely met the advertised inspection criteria.
I would strongly advise others to be cautious. A 120-point check should mean something—right now, it doesn’t feel like it does.

Found the car I liked on auto trader and sent them a message. They got me booked in for a test drive the day after.
Turned up and got looked after by Tendayi. Top man. Went through everything with me and made the process really easy.

My experience at Carbase Bristol was positive because of great cars deals. It is not perfect, but it saves a lot of shopping around. The after sale service could be improved. I was expecting the car to be deep cleaned given that I paid an extra £399 for a refresh to the upholstery and the body work. The car was originally quite dirty when I tried it. It was wiped down before the handover, but still not quite clean. There was also a brief moment of communication breakdown whilst waiting for the finance on the car to be cleared, yet it was resolved a few days later. I hope I remember that the next time I buy a car from Carbase. They know what they are doing, so I would certainly recommend them

Now April 2026, issue still ongoing, been in twice and unresolved! sent multiple emails with no response. emailed complaints, no response, Management, no response, service team, no response. you get the picture, asked to return the vehicle in October 2025 as not fit for purpose, still under warranty and issue still unresolved after first attempt of fixing.
Now being told I haven't met the criteria to return the vehicle? seriously?! Avoid unless you want nothing but problems!
