1. The Senerios and Issues template were not filled out in the assignments, leaving the student disadvantage in preparation of final assessments.
2. Templates are very challenging to fill out within a word count. The essences of the questions are lost by this rigorous and confining method. Essay should be given as a choice of submission.
3. The appeal process must be changed to accommodate review of the paper and not the process.
4. Comments given by the examiner are not useful in helping the student improve in the resit. A solution paper should be done, so that the student can know where he or she when wrong.

SQE1 materials are good, they cover the essential information but that is not the focus or the reason why you should choose COLP.
The online platform and teaching have been really good are these really what sets COLP apart, alongside the flexibility.
They still have some work to do on the platform (functionality, ease of use, so nothing to do with the information).
I ended up supplementing my course materials with ULaw books, as the COLP materials are quite condensed.
Currently enrolled on the SQE2 course. Support has been consistent with my SQE1 experience, and the teaching is delivered through the online platform (for self study), manuals, as well as online seminars and 1-1 with tutors.

The SQE 1 preparation course was fantastic. Provided with ample study material covering all of the relevant modules. Lots of opportunities to do mock questions which are very reflective of the actual exam & very supportive module leaders. Studied the part time 20 week preparation course, whilst working full time and passed first time, even with a 6 month gap between the course ending and sitting the exam! Couldn’t have asked for more from the provider and would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a course provider.

I’m studying the LLM with SQE1&2 course with COLP and couldn’t be happier. They’ve been very supportive and the course itself is built so that I can work full time whilst studying without burning out!

I passed SQE 1 first time with COLP. I liked how each week was structured as it made it manageable alongside working full time. Will be using them again for SQE 2.

I passed SQE1&2 first time with the College. They provide a great schedule for both courses which enable you to tick tasks and topics off regularly. They build you up with mock assessments really well so that you grow naturally towards the end goal of the exam. They have enough resources to keep you busy right up to either exam. While you can always ask questions via threads and at weekly topic specific meetings, the College allow you to work independently which felt the best way to prepare for the SQE. I’ve recommended them to friends. Finally, you really feel like you’re getting value for money.

They give you a lot of practices to apply your legal knowledge to exam situations. Although you will not probably get the same set of facts or law in real exams, it's very good that you will know what skills you are required to put into the papers.

I passed both the SQE1 and SQE2 with the college of legal practice on my first attempt. The materials were good, the tutors were helpful and I enjoyed the flexibility in the learning programme. That said, I did find the timing of the SQE2 mocks and tutor prep sessions to be really difficult to fit in with a full time job (which I did feedback at the time). It would have been much easier for me if these had been over lunch or after hours. Regardless of this, I would recommend the college of legal practice for both courses.

Well worth the money, i'm glad i did it! COLP is the place to study, so many amazing tutors on there- Laura and Kathryn are the best! On to the SQE next.

The LLM is perfectly decent as a means to access an SQE prep course, particulaly given it allows you to get student loan funding. I'd actually say that, based on testimonials from fellow SQE sitters regarding their experiences at different legal education providers, that it is a superior SQE prep course and I think the materials have stood me in good stead.
THAT SAID....in relation to the masters course at large:
A masters course would be intensive and you'd expect that. You expect hard work and some long days. But let me be clear that my fundamental and lasting takeaway from my nearly 2 years on this masters course is that: the college is not as flexible as the literature would have you believe. It is not tailor made to suit working people or those with busy lives. It is very demanding and there is very little forgiveness or leniency for deadline extensions unless in the most extreme circumstances. That includes sitting of the SQE which is expressly EXCLUDED from their 'exceptional circumstances' policy in relation to the course. Therefore, if you are taking this predominantly as a means to prepare you for the SQE (which is even more demanding), be warned that the fact you are sitting those exams will have little to no bearing on how the course leaders treat you when the exams clash with other module deadlines.
If you have a full time job in legal practice requiring long hours - that will be irrelevant in the context of this course. If you have client meetings (or god forbid, caring responsibilities) that clash with 'Town Halls' scheduled with little notice on a random weekday so you cannot attend the latter, expect that to be a black mark against you pursuant to the "Acadmic Attendance and Engagement Policy". Don't go on holiday for 2 years (only holidays booked prior to course commencement being acceptable reasons for absence). Don't experience a family crisis unless you can evidence it.
Expect very little in the way of pastoral support from the college itself. The individual tutors I have nothing but praise for. The central office, however, has left a bitter taste in my mouth after more than one interaction.
No matter what other positives I may have in relation to usability of the online college portal etc. - this rigidity has been my main takeaway. I will be glad to graduate and be done with the college, frankly.
I am actually looking at a further postgraduate course once this is concluced but will be researching other providers.

I failed my SQE 1 exam, despite being reassured from my tutor that I would pass. The mocks are nothing like the real thing, spelling mistakes in the manuals, mistakes in the MCQs . Very badly organised.

Staff and tutors are excellent, but disappointed with the quality of the learning materials for the SQE2 studies.
