Collingwood Batchellor Avis 

Bought a tempered glass dining table and 6 chairs was really pleased until we had guests and a drink was spilt on the table I jumped up wiped it and the following morning the liquid had seeped through the edge of the glass and left a long mark in my opinion the glass couldn’t have been sealed properly was so upset. Collingwood b told me to claim on my house insurance id had it 6 months and they said it wasn’t there problem as it was an accident not a manufacturing issue my argument was it was not fit for purpose a table is going to get spills on it !!!!! after calls and emails back and forth they agreed to give me another table top for £75 at a cost to me ,as a gesture of good will but still expressed it was no fault of there’s and the new table top was delivered yesterday😡😡😡I’ve spent pounds with them but no more !!!!!

We have recently taken delivery of new sofas and chairs which we are very happy with. Our whole experience has been excellent - from the time we placed the order to taking delivery.

We have shopped with Collingwood Batchellor for many years, purchasing furniture, carpets and other sundry items. We have always found the staff knowledgeable and friendly. In store they are always on hand to help with queries without making you feel hassled.

We have recommended this store to friends who have gone on to purchase items and who also are very pleased with the service they receive.

I cannot recommend them highly enough and thank you once again to all the staff we have dealt with.

We recently bought a sofa from Collingwood Batchellor and have been really pleased with the experience. From our first enquiry through to delivery, communication was friendly, clear, and transparent throughout.

Delivery went smoothly and the team constructed the sofa on-site without any issues.

We did notice a few spots/stains on the fabric after delivery, but the customer service team have been excellent in sorting this out. They've been quick to respond and are arranging a replacement cushion cover as a solution.

Overall a very positive experience with this company. We ordered a large amount of furniture and apart from a small issue with the sofa fabric being available which held up the original delivery date, We have nothing but praise for the professional way in which the staff dealt with this. In particular Maria at the East Grinstead branch who kept us well informed and went above and beyond to ensure the delay was minimal.
We did not feel under pressure while deciding which furniture we wanted, no pushy sales techniques which made the experience more enjoyable.
For future reference we would suggest that they extend the delivery lead time for a few weeks so as not to disappoint customers expectations.
The delivery guys were also very helpful and efficient.
Overall a great company with high quality products and helpful and knowledgeable staff.

experience with Collingwoods was fantastic from beginning to end. Great staff in the Worthing store, helpful and knowledgeable.
The delivery guys Mark and George who delivered our bed did so with a smile and professionalism.
Our stairs are steep and they made light work of the whole experience including removing our heavy old Superking bed. They assembled our new bed and fitted our own headboard. Very happy with the fabulous service and looking forward to spending our first night in our new bed.

Great products all round. Staff friendly, informative and helpful . In fact exemplary. Sale reductions genuine. Bought armchairs, sheets and towels. Also tower fan for this hot weather. All 3 department staff were so very good and it was so much appreciated at 92!

Shocking! Ordered a large book case, at no point was it mentioned the delivery would be to store only and I would be expected to collect it.
When enquiring about my delivery, they seemed more interested in taking payment for £55 than trying to work with me to find a solution.
Will not use again!

From the very start of our search for a new sofa, right up until delivery last week the whole process has been both friendly, helpful and extremely professional. The choice of styles and materials was extensive. Three month wait whilst it was made.
Collingwood Batchellor has been the best UK company we have dealt with in a long time.
The quality of the sofas looks fabulous and we hope they will serve us well for years.

I purchased a 3 piece suite in January with the help of the salesman, Kevin, who was very pleasant and knowledgeable.
The two delivery men were extremely polite and friendly and answered my questions about the suite with ease and professionalism.

My Dad had an idea of what items he was interested in, from previously looking on the CB website, but he wanted to see the furniture in person (as good as website are, it's not the same!) We were greeted by Rob at the Worthing store, and Dad enquired about the furniture range of interest. Dad is in a power wheelchair, and was unable to view the range upstairs due to his circumstances. Rob took the time to contact a different site, to check the range was downstairs, and gave us parking and access information, which we felt was extremely kind, understanding and above & beyond! Rob also spoke to Dad, instead of going through me, which again, isn't something we always experience, so that was really appreciated. We visited the Horsham store a couple of days after, and Mark was expecting us! Dad placed his order with Mark, who again, was kind, understanding and again spoke to Dad, as opposed to going through me.
Dad is really looking forward to receiving his furniture, and we had a great experience.

Purchased a new three-seat sofa and armchair today in Collingwood Batchellor sale. Assistant Dan was extremely helpful in us making our choice of new furniture, which is comfortable, attractive and very good value for money.

Purchased towels from this Company. The order was for two hand towels, two flannels and two bath sheets. The "bath sheets" sent were bath towels and the Company would not accept that they had sent the wrong towels. I ordered bath sheets of the same make towel from another Company and it was clear that the bath sheet was a good bit bigger than the ones sent by this Company. The towels are lovely wish I could say the same for customer service.

I bought a bed from CB about 5 years ago. After about 3-4 years the mattress began to sag in the middle.
It steadily got worse so I contacted CB by phone and email and sent some photos.
They arranged for an inspector to visit to assess the mattress and he confirmed that it was not up to standard. I was invited to choose a replacement bed(mattress and divan) at the equivalent value at 2025 price.
The bed and delivery were free under the original warranty.
I have found the communication, both on the phone and email, and service excellent at every stage.

I don't normally give 5 stars but in this case I have. It's so good to be able to communicate with real people rather than AI bots as with so many other companies.

Nice looking sofa, tested in shop, competitive price, good lead time, nice delivery lead. Found high density foam is too hard with continual use and causing back pain so will need go elsewhere at cost to get it right. Lesson, take your time, talk to interested experts and do your research.

From the people in the Worthing shop leaving us alone to look and being very helpful and friendly when we needed help to the delivery men who went out of their way to help us get the furniture in who also were the nicest, friendliest, helpful two men we have ever dealt with.
All in all from the beginning to the end the best experience we have had and they would all make us shop there again.

After choosing our furniture, it was available more quickly than we expected which was great. Even better were the delivery men. They were efficient, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Real professionals and we were so grateful for their help!

Good afternoon, I would like to bring to your attention the exceptional customer service my husband and I received from Lucy in your Haslemere branch. We were interested in a patchwork sofa in your store, it wasn't quite the colours we wanted, we understood that each one is unique. Lucy went to the trouble of contacting other branches to get photos of ones they had and emailing my husband. We took her up on the offer of getting one in from the warehouse. Today I have viewed the warehouse sofa that was delivered to Haslemere. I am happy to say that I have now purchased that sofa and the large footstool. 

Lucy had remembered that when we first came in were were on our way to look after our granddaughter while her sister was being born, Lucy took time to contact my husband asking on progress and sending congratulations to us on the birth of our second granddaughter. 

I don't know if your company has a scheme that acknowledges this level of customer service, if it does please nominate on our behalf. 

The delivery guys were excellent. So nice to have a local store in East Grinstead.
