My experience with Commino has been disappointing. I would strongly urge any business that is looking to use them for their marketing services to reconsider.

I hired them in October last year under the recommendation of someone I knew. They seemed professional even though they don't have an official office and many of their employees worked remotely in places including India. Nevertheless, they unsuccessfully managed two PPC campaigns for my company and lost me £2,500 on Ad Words. They also charged me a fee of £600 for their services despite the loss incurred. I terminated this PPC contract via a telephone call with the owner of the business. These are risks I accept from using an agency and do not have a problem with.

I decided that at the end of December 2017 that their prices did not match the results they had delivered thus far and terminated my SEO contract via a telephone call with the owner making it explicit that I no longer wished Commino to provide marketing services to us. This was the exact way I had cancelled my PPC contract with them.

I have now had two debt collection agencies contact me in the last six months for an alleged debt that I owe. Despite my clear instruction to the owner of the business to discontinue work for my company, which he acknowledged on our call, they apparently continued running campaigns for me. This I know to be untrue as we had no contact for three weeks and normally, when we were working together, we would communicate on a regular basis so I could learn more about the progress of my current campaigns.

The first debt collection agency reached out in February and after providing them with my version of events, I did not hear back from them. I had also asked them for a number of further details regarding the alleged debt but again they failed to respond.

The second agency contacted me last week, and I now have had to start this process all over again nearly six months later.

This is not the type of behaviour that you would expect an agency to take considering the fact we spent around £5,000 with them in a two month period. Thus, it's surprising that the owner says as clients that we did not pay.

I will resist all attempts by Commino to collect their alleged debt and will seek legal advice once again as I did in February of this year.
