Do not use this company they are not doing what they supposed to do with our money or life insurance policies

I have been with corebridge for 2yrs I made a request for a loan against my cash building life policy on March 13th. I was told they mailed check to my home address on March 21 and to wait 10 business day. I did that the check never came, I called and spoke to a supervisor about it and requested a direct deposit, he took my bank information and told me it would be in there in 5 days. Which h would have been last Friday and it absolutely was not. I called back that Friday and the lady told me it takes 8 days not 5 and it should be here tomorrow 4/15 so if its not in there I am done talking and calling its time for my attorney to get involved this is absolutely a breach of contract because im done talking I will go as high as I can including insurance commissioner

I have been with this corebridge…

I have been with this corebridge financial for over 10 years. Today, they sent me an email saying someone has withdrawal all my money. I tried call to see how that could be and they said they are not able to access my account. I am here going crazy. How reckless are they they let someone else withdrawal my money. I am now waiting for a mail to be delivered to my home (AS IF WE LIVE IN THE 1800'S) just so they can access my account. Everyone in the company is just incompetence and don't know what they are doing.

My advice - RUN, YOUR RETIREMENT MONEY IS NOT SAFE AT COREBRIDGE FINANCIAL.

HORRIBLE experience. My husband died and left my kids his retirement money. I have spent almost a year trying to get this resolved and not one person is helpful on the phone. I finally got the checks back in December but went to cash them and turns out they voided them for no reason!! Every time I call I get a different person who has no record of the last time I called. They say they will pass on my request but nothing ever gets done. All I need are the checks to be reissued. A very simple request!!! and I’m still waiting… horrible customer service. I’m convinced this place is a scam.

I called them because my tax document were done incorrectly.

I called them because my tax documents were done incorrectly. The first time I called, I thought it was handled. After two weeks, nothing was changed, and I cannot resubmit my tax documents without a corrected form. I called the company and was put on hold for 52 minutes and no one checked back on me. Even when I was released from hold, I was immediately put back on hold without someone dialoguing with me to tell me they were still working on it. I eventually hung up and called back and got another service person. She had told me that she read the notes and that there was nothing submitted by the last person that I spoke with that indicated that my tax form was going to be fixed. She told me she would handle it. At this point it has not been done. We are now four days away from tax day… And I have received no response from Corbridge. I am planning on moving my money to a different company. This is the worst service I’ve ever received. And I’m not really sure how to get what I need, but I should receive a refund with this updated tax form. So I’m at a standstill as far as what I need to do.

Absolutely horrible experience

Absolutely horrible experience so far. This life insurance plan was taken out 25 years ago two plans one for me and one for my husband, we have since divorced but I still remain as beneficiary and now also executor of his estate. This process was started shortly after his passing in January, we have yet to receive the insurance funds, stating that since now I am ex spouse which in Rhode Island should not matter since it is not a revocable state. So my children and I are left with the loss of a loved one at a young age and all the debt that goes along with it, if I knew then what I know now I would never trust this company to provide this service. Extremely heartbroken and stressed is an understatement.

Distrust and dissatisfaction

I do not think there is a less helpful or trustworthy financial company in existence. I trust Bernie Madoff 100x more with my money than this company. They have offshored their entire help line which makes the responses to questions regarding the taxable impacts of account actions incredibly unreliable. You can call in and speak to 4 different people and get 4 different answers. Dealing with a family estate issue involving 2 different family members already makes this a difficult phone call to make. When all you want is to be able to trust the information you are given is correct in process and the taxable impact they don’t even help at the surface level. The questions are not even tax advice questions. It is simply what tax documents am I to receive and needing ending year balance to calculate an RMD. They tell us as the beneficiary we cannot request this. They then tell the person as executor they cannot request this. Lincoln Financial/American General Life truly need to reevaluate the way they choose to do business. There is a reason they are at 1.7 stars. This company should loose its ability to take custody or hold clients funds.

Corebridge financial called me and…

Corebridge financial called me and started asking personal questions about my banking and social number, so I asked them to verify that this is the company. Last night they sent me confirmation numbers through email and text, but today they just wanted me to assume that it was Corebridge company. No security measures were taken.

Customer service is ATROCIOUS

Customer service is ATROCIOUS. I am calling on behalf of the client, who is on the phone with me, but will not give him the information we are requesting unless he calls them without me on the phone.

Asked to speak with a manager and have been on hold for 27 minutes. (Client hung up a while ago)

Horrible Service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don’t trust Corbridge for your retirement savings

Very disappointing experience with Corebridge. I started my hardship withdrawal on March 9, 2026, and was told the check was mailed on March 13, 2026. It has now been over 10 days, and I still have not received my money. The funds have not been returned to my account, and I have not received the callback I was expecting.

I did everything they asked, remained patient, and was respectful throughout the process, but there has been no sense of urgency or accountability. Because of this delay, my family was put in a difficult financial position, and I had to pay important expenses out of pocket that should have been covered by my own funds.

I opened this account for security and peace of mind, but this experience has made me question whether Corebridge can be trusted when customers truly need support.

Absolutely horrible customer service

Absolutely horrible customer service! Took almost 4 weeks and many phone calls to get a disbursement. Lots of lip service. NO ACTUAL SERVICE! I would not eat in a restaurant with a 1.5 star review, and these people are overseeing a chunk of my retirement savings. SCARY!

The worst customer service ever

You must have an ONLINE account in order to manage, or even see, your assets. I have been trying to get this access since January when I notifed my Corebridge financial advisor that I moved. Since then, I have waited patiently to be transferrd to a new advisor (I changed states), spoken with many people and have given the same info over and over; now my account locked!! They only get one star because you're not allowed to give none.

The absolute worst experience

The absolute worst experience. I am currently on hold for the 4th phone call. Wait times for all calls have been over 30 minutes. The agent hung up on me on the third call. I'm calling to get specific instructions on filling out forms. With each call, I do exactly what I am told, and then I get a letter saying it's wrong. The last letter failed to include the form that was said to be included. I have been given zero information on the policy, other than it's somehow related to two family members who passed away 7 and 11 years ago. I never knew it even existed.
I would give this company a negative 100 if I could.

Very Poor Customer Service

I could write a lot about our poor experience with this company, but just read all of the numerous BAD one star reviews from others. There are a lot of them! I will mention that all calls I made to their customer service went to the Philippines. I spoke with people who were very hard to understand and not particularly helpful. I asked to speak with an American agent but instead was transferred to a "supervisor" who promised to send me a form, but never did!
