Croydon College Avis 

I completed the Level 2 Plumbing course at Croydon College and unfortunately had a very poor experience.

In my experience, the teaching and support were inadequate. There were occasions when tutors left early, and I felt that important practical skills were not properly taught. I received far fewer proper lessons than I expected and ended up having to teach myself a significant amount of the course material.

I also had concerns about health and safety. On one occasion, I was instructed to solder when I did not feel I had been given adequate training or appropriate protective equipment, and I experienced difficulty breathing after being exposed to the fumes.

Another major issue for me was organisation. Exam dates were changed with very little notice on several occasions, which interfered with my work commitments and resulted in me losing wages.

I was also unhappy with the way my bursary application was handled. I believed I met the eligibility requirements but did not receive the support I expected, which meant I had to borrow money to continue attending the course.

I raised a number of my concerns through the college's formal complaints process. Some of the issues I raised were disputed by management, despite me having evidence that I believed supported my concerns. I was disappointed with how the situation was handled and did not feel my concerns were adequately addressed.

Overall, I found the course poorly organised and felt there was a serious lack of teaching and support. The experience caused me considerable stress and affected my confidence. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend the Level 2 Plumbing course at Croydon College to someone looking for consistent teaching, organisation and support.

Avoid a lot if druggies around the front near reception asking for cigarettes, litter all over the place , graffiti on walls just horrible

Not a great college to apply, they accuse you for saying your not in class when you are, they don't answer any phone calls or emails, no privacy whatsoever so ever, wouldn't recommend applying to this college.

Croydon College is a exceptional college very ❤️ lovely and charming,the decor awesome it's the college though that I see has one of two colleges need to resigned I think to let peoples know the truth that college is haunted;must have been built on a burial place,I call to speak to someone for a light motor vehicles course given a date to visit also the time.On my arrival first look my eyes blink and everything shuffle in their after my eyes open I was swarm by a crowd distancing their self from me and I'm sure the morning before I went I bath.The person I've spoken to told me whosoever I spoke to on the phone has me to come in the day way wrong no motor vehicles course was on to for enrollment the day waste my time and money, Decided to try again but this went time went mad.People begging cigarettes,litter in front door to college,no respect for student like myself and my religion;They who work at the college all refuse when speaking to look me in the eyes,I leave the course not no reason of disloyalty to few teachers only through miscommunication of students on their second year of the course I'm 46 and I wish was to settled with the motor vehicles qualification but their is only user at that college if you ever be on a course there be on watch especially for bullies, prejudice,teachers, racist security and students hub staff I'm even sorry I bought nothing there and ate I got so sick and they were all seeing that I said maybe to myself I shouldn't go and a few people even the college's principal agree,I know the college was haunted a male ghost he spoke to me when and got there and when I left.

Hello, my name is Rochelle and I'm going to tell you how i personally feel about Croydon College so far. Although everyone's opinion and experience is different, I personally think Croydon college is great and look forward to going most days. I love how there is different cultures allowing me to learn something new and interesting. I believe most people are nice here as long as you surround yourself with the right people and not be influenced by the bad. To be honest the bad thing to me is how they stopped giving us bursary without informing anyone. Bursary is supposed to help/support us so they should find a way to get it back for us. This isn't good because a large number of people rely on bursary for there travel and more. After conversating with students i believe this has made most students angry and stressed questioning what's going on. Students deserve to know!! Another bad thing is the amount of time we get for lunch. I think the college should be generous and give us more time for lunch as there is a lot of people making the line wait is ridiculously long to get food then before you know it you have 20 minutes left for a lunch then back to work. i love how there is different options to do here and personally they do a pretty good job keeping our college clean. I plan to support all student who struggle with these factors due to the fact that i am a student representative. From what i have heard some teaching is bad and some teaching is good but i shall speak no more on this topic due to the fact that i have not been taught by every teacher.

I was on their Website for their availabile courses and asked if I come in-person if possible. The lady said YES! I got there and was frustrated by their reception. I went to enrollment but asked to go to the front desk... front desk said to go to upstairs. I got upstairs and was told the best people to explain to me before I get to their side are downstairs.
Seriously, this is unprofessional.
Someone must be ready to give the necessary details to whoever needs it before enrolment but they expect you to choose it because it say 'XYZ COURSE'. What if after, your realise you chose a wrong course?

Croydon college let a woman who does sec in bondage clubs know my medical records she anounced them in the bar and got me raped by the mexican guy in pbotography.. Pearl Naggy... THEY EVEN LET HER USE HER FLIRTING TO GET THE OVER SEAS FEES WAVERED... WJILE SHE BULLIED TJE HELL OUT IF ME FOR BEING POOR...rich people can be so cruel sometimes...It was so horrible there i feel like ripping up my certicates at poohing on them... n the security gaurd there used to work at UP THE CREEK where the owner threatened to murder me...And he was laughing at me and taking the micky out of me...
