Daily Sparkle Avis 

We use the daily sparkle everyday and our residents always look forward to doing it. It’s a great way to start conversation and reminiscing through storeys and articles that our residents can relate to. There are always interesting articles and we found that using the daily sparkle in a group session is a good way for the residents to interact with each other and tell their different stories. The quiz section is always a hit with the residents and they all enjoy the music cd that is provided with the daily sparkle.

Excellent service it is always on time, the residents really like discussing the article and sharing their experience about their past.

Our residents get so much out of the Weekly Sparkle, they read through it every week and we also use it for forms of discussion and an activity called time to listen- where we have a tipple and a short story. I do a monthly quiz with the materials aswell. Overall its really useful tool to have :)

Only been using the Daily Sparkle for a few weeks now as part of a trial and already it has made a difference. It's proving to be very popular amongst the residents, the staff and also any visitors, encouraging quality time between all. The reminiscence sessions that are held weekly have definitely been given some sparkle with endless discussion and enjoyment throughout.
Very much looking forward to using the singalong CD, of which, no doubt, will also add sparkle to the weekly sing and smile session.
It hasn't took us long to decide to subscribe to the Daily Sparkle. It will certainly be an important part of the service that is provided here, enhancing activities on a daily basis.

Newsheets are sent on time and are very well received by the patients on our ward.
Activity coordinators find it a useful resource in engaging patients who have difficulty processing information.

My mother receives a Daily Sparkle and finds it interesting; right length to enjoy during a coffee time; nice to share with visitor or carer and in her words " it's easy to digest but isn't condescending"

Daily sparkle is an innovative way to help our residents and staff with topics for conversation. There's so much value in everyone having the confidence to be able to chat to our residents and the residents enjoy the memories.
The Daily Sparkle training is also a really useful tool for anyone working in a care setting.

Lots of good ideas and information to use which I file and can use again and again.
