Datakits Avis 65

Just like so many people I ordered goods from this company which have never arrived. Despite the offer of a refund nothing has been received and the company do not reply to emails. I have been in touch with Trading Standards who are currently investigating this company. I will also contact Hampshire Police Fraud section as this seems like out and out theft. Had to give one star but real rating is zero.

In July ordered 2 phone cases - sent a cheque - cashed promptly - 4 letters later and no sign of any goods and no reply. Just about to shred and draw a line under it as I'm annoyed my hard earned cash has been taken but wish I had read reviews before losing my money - minimal amount but not the point!

ordered 2 sets of sony headphones and ipod headphone adpators with built in mics on 14th &15th december 2010, had comfirmation email saying that my goods had been despatched, still waiting, sent them 2 emails still no reply, having read all these reveiws looks like i,v lost my money, does anybody know who i report these crooks to. Surely kelkoo and google should remove these crooks off the internet so no one else looses any more money, its hard enough too earn money as it is without crooks like these stealing off ya!!!!!

I ordered an ipod docking station on 12 nov and after 2 weeks had received nothing. E-mailed datakits to be told the item would be sent out within 2 days but a week later still no goods. I paid with a credit card so rang credit card company who sent off an investigation that day and within 2 days had received an e-mail from datakits saying I was being refunded and couldnt believe it when my credit card was refunded on 20 Dec! Will be a lot more careful with future transactions and wish i'd read the reviews before ordering!

Like many others I am embarrassed that I didn't read the reviews. My order was small so I was less diligent than normal which is exactly what they rely on i.e. small orders, people don't bother to take it any further and they pocket the cash with no comeback. Avoid like the plague

To keep it short, my order total was under £7, I decided i did not want this product, which was a phone charger. I contacted Datakits on 7 occasions receiving no reply. Three weeks later nothing.

After reading around the internet, I could not believe that I was not the only one conned by this company, and that they were still running!.

I contacted SAGEPAY who had processed my payment, with all the details. It took 2 messages to sagepay, and lo and behold I received a refund!

So, all those who paid via SAGEPAY, contact them with the details, and keep contacting them. After all, they are the ones processing the payments for these jokers. All the bad press reflects bad on them.

Paying with paypal could pose problems as they seem to provide paypal with false signed for slips, which paypal seem to accept as delivery, even though the goods have never ever been delivered.

Embarrassed that I didnt take note of the experiences on this site- The goods orderd in October simply haven't arrived. No e-mails have been returned (and there's no telephone number to hassle). Given up now on ever seeing my goods and/or money again

The problem I guess is that they assume that as the amounts are small, no-one will kick up a fuss (mine was a mere £9)- but if someone nicked a tenner off me in the street & I knew who they were, I would report them for theft- why should datakits be allowed to do the same (but hide behind a kosher business !)- report has been sent to trading standards (hopefully the more people that do it, the more chance of action).

I'm not a serial moaner (my first online review!) but I hate being conned- and these guys are simply the worse example of online cowboys (anyone got any friends at watchdog!!)

But when i connected the cable to my tv it didn't work, don't buy nothing from these people. Seems now I'll have to pay these people a visit.

It contacted them several times over the course of a month, but never got a reply. I ended up having to go through my debit card company to get a refund. Useless.

I wish I had seen this website before paying this company £15.98; they answered the first email saying they would chase up the order and said I should have got it but despite emails to them for them to send my order still no battery.

I ordered a Wii Drumkit which should have included a microphone. When opened, no microphone! Emailed through website and return email advised the item would be sent out (this was July!) Have emailed numerous times and never had another response! Still waiting for the microphone and no doubt will never see it!!!!!!!!!

Should have read these reviews before placing the order! Add me to the list of many un-saftisfied customers!

Firstly time i have felt strongly enought to write a review on a forum and unfortunately its not a good one....

Sad to say a very similar experience to all of the below, ordered a product 2 months ago - still no delivery despite repeated attempts to contact this joker Mike who runs the place. Got an email about a month after i ordered apologising but still havent received anything a further month later still no product or even an email for that matter.

Beware of other companies who i think are run by the same guy, odds and pods are one i think - you'll recognise the website layout being very similar to datakits with same stock etc...

Money down the drain - surely this place must be shut down?!

Ordered a wireless USB adaptor from them, unfortunaterly without reading reviews first (my bad!). It was a very specific one, and these guys were the only ones that had it "in stock". Paid £13 + delivery which seemed reasonable. Item never arrived, despite payment being taken.

Emailed after 10 days. No reply. Emailed two days later and another two days later. Eventually 'Mike' replied saying that it is in stock now and it's in the post. Waited. And waited. No little parcel through the letterbox. Emailed demanding a refund. No reply. Emailed again. No reply. Emailed again. No reply. Emailed again. Eventually received a reply saying it had been sent, though would refund.

Only bit of credit I can give is that I have now received a refund. I know it was only for about £17, but it's the principle!!

Please, don't get caught out by me and seemingly 98% of others reviewing them. Chances are you won't be in the 2% of happy customers, so just go elsewhere!!

Like so many others I have been caught out by these guys. They have sent me the wrong product and have made it impossible to return and get a refund.

They continue to give the impression that they make ever effort to sell low cost items with the hope that we all rather forget about it then take it up with Trading Standards.

Only used DataKits as it said i could us PAYPAL, when paying paypal was not an option, Never got item and lost £25.00 DONT US DATAKITS

Never received items I ordered and despite 4 emails and 3 answerphone messages and their promise to get back within 48 hours, nothing. So glad I found this site so that other people can be warned. I shall be letting the payment companies they use know about Datakits. I am surprised they havent pulled the plug on them long ago having looked at the other reviews of this company.

Just like all the other reviews, they took my money the same day, and over 2 weeks later nothing has arrived. They do not answer their phone and my emails are still sitting there showing as unopened. It is a disgrace that this company is still allowed to trade

Ordered an item at £23.98, got confirmation email but never received anything. They did not answer any of my emails. Phone number does not work. After having claimed money back from credit card company they finally got in contact with me. They claimed item had been sent but they did not provide any reference or date that would allow me to track it. Now, they have come back to my credit card company with a Royal Mail tracking number. Only problem is that their tracking number does not match the postoffice it would have been delivered from. They are complete frauds and they should not be allowed to trade.

We ordered a Blackberry battery in June 2009 and it was faulty so we returned it. We sent more than 8 emails to the company and they kept promising to look into it. My final email was in September 2009 and I have not received a response. We are £13 out of pocket. The company is absolutely useless and should be closed down.

I ordered the following 2 Nokia Batteries (copied/pasted from the order):
1 x Genuine Nokia Original Battery BL-5J BL5J for 5800 Xpress Music (BAT3-BL-5J) = £14.99
1 x Genuine Nokia BL-5F Battery Original for N95 N93i N96 6210 6290 (BAT1-BL-5F) = £12.99

Needless to say both batteries that I received were FAKE. No phone number to contact and no replies to e-mail in order to return them.

Don't do business with them. Don't say you weren't warned!
