Parcel was collected on 18th December - no sign of it since --no communication - unable to track - have now sent 2 emails - not had response for either --- next step is to complain to trading standards

I booked a multi-parcel shipment (3 boxes) with ParcelCompare / DPD Express from the UK to Italy on 24 September, containing only my personal belongings after moving back home. I prepared all the required documentation carefully — everything clearly marked as “personal belongings”, with detailed invoices, values, and compliant tariff codes.
Despite this, the courier never showed up for collection. I had to drop the parcels off myself, and soon after, I discovered that ParcelCompare had incorrectly declared the shipment as a “gift”, which caused customs to reject it and send it back. This was their administrative error, not mine — my documents are clear and consistent.
DPD told me they could do nothing because Deliver Plus / ParcelCompare is the account holder, while ParcelCompare’s customer service is practically unreachable, not to mention Delive plus. I sent multiple emails and received only one short reply saying I’d be charged for the return. No one ever contacted me directly.
In the meantime, two parcels were randomly redelivered to my empty UK address, one left unattended outside. The third parcel is still stuck in the return process. I paid a high price for “express” service and got failure at every stage — missed collection, wrong customs declaration, zero communication, and refusal to take responsibility.
I am now left trying to recover my belongings myself. I would strongly advise others to avoid ParcelCompare/ Deliver Plus — unreliable service, no real customer support, and no accountability when things go wrong.
It’s a pity you can’t give 0 or minus stars. This company is unbelievable. I have tried to call but no one answers the phone and I’ve emailed repeatedly but no one gets back to me.
My parcel was sent in July. It’s now October. It wasn’t delivered so I asked for it back and nothing is happening. I think they should be investigated for fraud. Taking people’s money then not providing the service you’ve paid for. Terrible
Scammers!!!!!! Parcels never delivered!
I booked with Parcel compare a collection from London for a delivery in Paris. DPD, their partner, collected the parcel, and then handled it to Delivery Plus and then never heard about my parcels again. Parcel Compare and Delivery Plus are from the same owners and are both scams eventhough they are partners with DPD. We contacted the Police on this, this is not normal. Their business is to keep people’s parcels and they claim they dont know where they are. Beware of this.

SCAM STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! THEY LOST MY PACKAGE AND DONT GIVE ANY REFUND!!!! Unfortunately my girlfriend had the bad idea of getting deliver plus to deliver something for me from the UK to Australia. After not knowing about the package for 3 weeks, they have been contacted with very delayed answers and constantly saying an investigation was happening. Finally today they say the item is lost and can’t proceed with a refund. VERY SAD SCAM COMPANY! NEVER GET THIS GUYS TO DELIVER FOR YOU!
If you are happy to sit at home for two days, be subjected to a litany of lies and wish to pay £35 for the pleasure, then this is definitely the company for you. If that's not your thing then best avoided. Absolute joke.
Where are my parcels? Held at customs after I paid taxes 10 days ago? You work with DPD but you don't talk to each other?
Great Customer Service - Kate is always on the ball day or night - we use Deliver Plus for US deliveries for several years and we have had no major issues - the team are knowledgeable and helpful.
