Excellent customer service

We were not pressured in any way or followed around the store. We were greeted and told that they were there to help if needed. Dave was very helpful when we had made a decision and answered our questions and gave us information.

We recently purchased a new Davis corner sofa and matching chair from the Middlebrook DFS branch, and we couldn’t be happier with the service we received.

Steph greeted us in store and was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. She immediately made us feel at ease, was incredibly friendly, professional, and couldn’t do enough to help us. Her knowledge about the products, including advice on upkeep and aftercare, was excellent and really helped us feel confident in our purchase.

Steph went above and beyond, and thanks to her advice, we also decided to purchase the additional service package available. We’re extremely grateful for all of her help — she is a real asset to DFS and made our experience a genuinely positive one.

Very disappointing experience with DFS.

Very disappointing experience with DFS.

On Wednesday 20th May, DFS delivered the wrong sofa to my home, and since then the customer service and communication have been extremely poor. I have had to chase DFS every single day for updates about collecting the incorrect sofa and arranging delivery of the correct one, rather than being proactively contacted.

I was told on 20th May that all parts of my correct sofa had been located, yet no one followed up to arrange delivery. Every update has only come after I contacted them myself, which has been frustrating, stressful, and very time-consuming.

I also explained that I urgently needed the sofa delivered by 27th May because I am hosting a party for my wife’s 50th birthday. Unfortunately, this request did not seem to be treated as a priority, and there was very little flexibility or urgency shown in resolving the issue.

What makes the situation even more frustrating is that DFS charges customers if they miss a delivery slot, yet when the company delivers the wrong item and causes major inconvenience, there seems to be very little accountability.

Overall, this experience has caused unnecessary stress, wasted time, and significant inconvenience. I expected far better customer service and communication from a company like DFS.

Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to avoid using this company unless they are prepared for poor communication and a lack of urgency when problems arise.

After looking into the order I can see the store are already dealing with this internally for you and we are liaising with the warehouse after speaking with you on Saturday. Unfortunately due to the bank holiday weekend we are operating on skeleton staff and are doing all we can to ensure this is resolved at a timely manner. Also, your email has already been sent to the store also and your requests noted for the follow-up call. Apologies again for any inconvenience caused.
