Dobbies Garden Centres - Marple Avis 333

garden centre has improved massively over last three years plant selection and healthiness now really good. Joining the club a real bonus having a cup if coffee after shopping makes it eirth the visit

What do you call a cafe/restaurant that constantly doesn't serve food...Dobbies. Don't know how this place stays open and can advertise as having a cafe, its off the beaten track so when you get there and expect to have some lunch and find out their not serving any food AGAIN its a trek to find somewhere else to eat. Save yourself disappointment and go somewhere else.

Lots to choose from, children's goods, houseplants, outdoor plants, comfy tea room, everything labelled well. The staff were helpful

Our last visit was the 28th December we had breakfast and a coffee I bought some Christmas cards as they were 50% off and also some Xmas ornaments the staff as always were happy to help

Have emailed Dobbies Head Office twice last year regarding cobwebs hanging from ceiling over food serving area and cafe. Nothing done. Food service area not fit for purpose for numbers of visitors. Feel sorry for staff who are always polite and work hard. Will not be renewing membership. The whole area needs thorough clean from top to bottom.

I feel Debbie's Marple should either close the cafe or just call it a coffee shop! Second visit with no real food - not even sandwiches , it can't still be delivery problems . Very disappointed

Cafe. Long queues . Waited 15 mins and when got to counter they had stopped doing meals. They seemed very understaffed

The cafe told us they had stopped serving hot food, which was understandable, as they were busy, though not as busy as on a previous visit. However hot food included child's cold ham sandwiches to go with the lunchbox. We were told we could swap
a nutritious sandwich with one extra snack. Subsequently our child had a substandard meal for the few seconds it takes to slap some ham between some bread.

Restaurant as ever very very slow being served not enough tables for two and this is the second time in a few weeks that we did not stay to eat/ drink and we went elsewhere.

Staff were very friendly , polite and willing to help and explained any questions I asked it was a pleasure to be served.
The garden centre had an excellent display of healthy plants although the gift area was a little low in stock this could have been because of the Christmas displays which were being put out.

I am really pleased with the transformation and have now joined. I would like to say though the price of food is so expensive I can't afford to eat there, despite seeing the lovely bacon butties being sold. I am 86 and enjoy my free coffees though. I think your staff are lovely. Nearly £4 for a piece of cake is ridiculous.

Although the store struggles with deliveries and product range the staff and management clearly are working hard. Head Office need to get behind them.

Called into dobbies Marple for breakfast but only had breakfast rolls.
No meals are available either just snacks.

The cafe is very nice and clean went round shop plenty of nice things got what we wanted checkout lady was very nice all staff are pleasant

The staff in the restaurant are extremely friendly and helpful and the restaurant has a lovely ambience and the tables were cleared and ready for customers.
We were excited to see there are now speciality drinks on offer and we sampled the honeycomb latte which was delicious and we had cream scones with our drinks and these were freshly baked and very tasty and were also, on a BOGOF offer after 2pm which was excellent value 😀We’ll definitely be returning soon!
