Dobbies Garden Centres - Perth Avis 297

Decent breakfast as with most Dobbies but must say the loo’s in the Perth branch are dreadful - dirty, smelly, broken items, things hanging off the walls.
Generally unpleasant and they should really get it sorted.

Well laid out store and staff are very pleasant and helpful.

Went to the Dobbies Cafe in Perth today. Bought two slices of cake. Could you slice it any thinner. The actual cake would probably make in excess of £80-90 each. Waited for coffee now the fun begins. No cups. So offered the people in front mugs. One member of staff goes and gets two cups from the kitchen and decants the coffee's into the cups from the mugs. All the time her fingers are in the cups and then removes them and you can clearly see they were in the coffee. Proceeds to finish the order for the couple who are oblivious. The people immediately in front of us as for two large coffee's, explained no large cups but would they like mugs. Yes they said so the two mugs that have just had there contents decanted into cups are reused. Not cleaned just reused. We baled out of the queue and went to the self service machine. Then we find our it's run out of milk. No staff going about to ask to fill it up. And the cost of such a visit around £14. Needless to say we left, and will not be back.Sort out offering value for hard earned money. And more importantly your hygiene. One staff member was foreign the other was short blonde hair in her late 50s or older.
Got a reply from Dobbies, will look into it for me and get back to me, that was last Feb, the silence is deafening!

I found out that the gift card that had been bought for me by my daughter had expired by at least six months.this was a HTA gift card bought at Dobbies Garden Centre Perth Scotland,this card still had £15 pending.When i went to Dobbies today 9/1/2023 to enquire what could be done,i was told by a management team that they could do nothing at their shop and they would give me details for me to get in touch with the company who could deal with this.I was rather disapointed with this attitude as they were the seller of this card and did not want to help but rather pass the buck onto me.I know it was only £15 but if they are going to sell gift cards they should honour them till they are used up.After this experience i will not be back in Dobbies again.Mr J Allison.

We often visit your Perth Store and find it offers a variety of attractive and useful merchandise and fair prices. The cafe and loyal card we have are added reasons to visit this and other Dobbies stores.

Only went in to browse around. Ended up with a Christmas tree, baubles and lights - plus a Dobbies Club Plus card. win/win (I think 🤔 😅)

As usual the Dobbie’s Shopping Experience was stimulating with a wide variety of products available. It was Hallowe’en Sunday and so very busy in the cafe with spooky parties going on! So we got what we wanted, spending more than we usually do and checked out using the famous Dobbies membership card. It was only when I got home that I saw again the email with the voucher that would given me 20% off the whole purchase! Aaargh. Why can’t the system check that a valid voucher offer hasn’t yet been used against the card when it’s presented and then prompt you? Very frustrating! Come on Dobbies, step your customer focus up a gear!

The Horticulture Manager was very helpful polite and knowledgeable.

Helpful, pleasant staff and we got a bargain. What more could I want?

Last visit was for lunch which I enjoyed with my sister. We then went to have a look around and both bought some bulbs for our gardens. Same lovely woman on tills as last visit 😊👍❤️

We only stopped off to break our long journey and give the puppy a walk in the car park. When we got out the car we realised the puppy was only wearing his car travelling harness and no lead! Panic! One of the staff helped me find one and the girl at the till got me scissors to get the tags off then to crown it all he was sick instore! Another 2 members of staff helped me with that! Not our best visit to Dobbies, however the staff were brilliant.
