Dolly Wears Customer Service

Dolly Wears has, literally, the worst customer service that I have ever experienced.

On the 19th March I ordered a pair of shoes for my daughter’s birthday and on the 23rd March I received a parcel with leggings in it. There is no number to telephone them, only an email. I sent an email and it took 3 days to get a reply. I had explained the urgency for my daughter’s 2nd birthday.

They asked me to return the incorrect item at my expense!!

But they said that they would refund that expense when it was received at their end. I confirmed that I would but given the urgency I asked them to send out another pair of shoes. I did not get a reply. I emailed again 4 times and each one was ignored.

They sent me a generic email stating a refund for the shoes had been issued - no mention of the costs of returning the wrong parcel to them (£5.40).

I have emailed them 3 times since asking for those costs to be paid to me and I have never had a reply. I have asked for a telephone number - no reply and I have sent a message on Instagram - no reply, even though they are on every day posting things.

Dreadful service. The clothes are mediocre and not great quality anyway so I really would not bother ordering from this company. When they treat their customers this way they do not deserve to have any more custom. People would be better off saving a little bit more and shopping elsewhere.

The £5.40 return fee isn’t massive but it’s the principle, especially after how they have behaved.

Don’t shop here! :(

Gingham school dresses

I ordered two of their beautiful yellow gingham school dresses in size 5-6. My daughter is a 4 year old who normally wears clothes in 4-5. The dresses were nowhere near a size 5-6, I would say more a size 3-4 with 5-6 labels sewn inside! I reached out to Dolly Wears on social media to be ignored twice. I then sent a message on their website, to get a very unprofessional email back to advise there is nothing they can do and won't even accept an exchange. The email was very unprofessional, and was not even being addressed to myself as a customer, just someone replying on their phone. I will not be ordering from Dolly Wears again. I can now see many more negative reviews.

Please read before you consider…

Please read before you consider purchasing from this company. Please! I wish I did. Absolutely shocking company! Placed an order for my daughter age 2, bought age 2-3 years and when arrived the items were so small! I returned them and repurchased, to be told the return needs to be sent back to me as they wont refund as the items were in the sale are non refundable! It never stated on the items description or check out that they are non returnable. I placed an order for larger size before knowing they wont accept return or refund for the 1st order. Absolutely shocking. It's not like I returned and shopped elsewhere, I rebought in bigger size! They are a massive scamming company and very unprofessional they dont even reply. In the UK, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give you a 14-day “cooling-off period” for online purchases.
This means:
- i can return items for any reason (including wrong size or change of mind).
-This still applies to sale, promotional, or discounted items.
They are not adhering to people's purchasing rights.

Honesty dont waste your time or money buy from h&m, primark or other retailers that will accept returns and dolly wears needs be honest from the get go on your website. Im going to try a chargeback on my card.

The clothes are fine but the customer service and communication is an absolute joke, I’d avoid at all costs. I ordered some items, one of which was a completely different colour to what was ordered and advertised (I ordered the jumper and matching bottoms, both had the same description and both were the same colour on the website) they emailed and said I should said it back and £3.50 would be removed from my refund, I disputed this and they ignored my email, I emailed a further three times, all of which were ignored

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Dolly Wears.

I purchased a pair of children’s shoes on 16 January 2026. My daughter wore them only twice, and the coating at the toes began peeling away, exposing the material underneath. This level of deterioration after such minimal wear is unacceptable for children’s footwear.

I contacted the company by email on February 3rd 2026 (12.43pm) with photos and followed up again on February 10th 2026 (4.15pm) after receiving no response. I then gave a clear 7-day deadline for a reply. That deadline has now passed and I have received no response at all.

Under UK consumer rights, goods should be of satisfactory quality and durable. I would have accepted a replacement or a refund, but the complete failure to engage with a legitimate fault complaint has left me with no confidence in this company. As a result, I am now pursuing a debit card chargeback and have reported the matter via Citizens Advice for referral to Trading Standards.

Due to this experience I will no longer be spending any more money with Dolly Wears.

Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to think carefully before ordering, particularly if you expect a company to honour basic consumer rights when something goes wrong.

Amazing!!!!

Bought clothes from here multiple times. Always amazing designs and great quality for my nieces. Accidentally ordered a size that was too small and customer service was so helpful and very responsive to help me change it to the appropriate size. Will definitely continue to order!!!

Avoid !!
I received my order that doesn’t meat uk trading and standard regulations . This company has been dealt with by trading and standards but how ever still no refund still ignored by the company to get my money back for unsafe clothing . This company thought it would be okay to have 2 inch safety pins in a baby’s coat hood . That’s not okay !!
She has failed to follow the consumer rights act unfortunately I’m having to deal with this myself so mummies please save your pennys and hassle

Ordered from here recently, the parcel was delivered to the wrong address by royal mail. Emailed customer service and they were so quick to send out a replacement. Not many independent businesses would be this good. Very impressed! Will definitely be ordering from here again!!

Punish customers for their mistake

When they finally replied, I was told I’d need to return the item at my own cost, despite the fault being theirs. This is very disappointing and unacceptable customer service. Customers should not be out of pocket for receiving defective products. I won’t be ordering again which is a shame as I’ve ordered many times before just so happens they are ok until things go wrong!
According to consumer rights act 2015 this is also not a reasonable or legal request for consumers to have to pay to return faulty goods.

I have been blocked from ordering!…

I ordered a few dresses for my girls for a Disney trip a few months ago. It was quite a big order and unfortunately one dress was missing. I emailed dolly wears to let them know, hoping they would send a replacement as my girls wanted matching dresses. I was told that the item was sent with my order and they would not be sending a replacement! I was annoyed by this but I don’t really like conflict so just took it as a loss. A few months later I placed another order for two Noelle dresses for Christmas and I few summer sale items for my youngest for next year. My order was not dispatched for ages and then a week after placing the order I got an email to say that it was cancelled. I thought maybe things had gone out of stock so I checked but they were still available! I placed the order again but again a week later it was cancelled! I contacted dolly wears to find out what was going on to be told that my order was cancelled due to me apparently trying to scam them on my previous order! I was so upset about this and I was quite shocked that a company can do this to customers! It’s very annoying as the clothes are very beautiful and my girls loved wearing them on our Disney holiday. We got so many compliments. I always see clothes on their facebook page and I would love to order from there again but it looks like I have been blocked ! :( This has never happened to me before and it has made me feel so upset. I have emailed to ask if I can place future orders as we really do like the clothes but now I just keep getting ignored :( very sad customer experience indeed. Basically you can’t have any issues with your order otherwise you get blocked!

I have twice been sent the wrong items

I have twice been sent the wrong items. 1st wrong colour, 2nd wrong size. They do not provide a returns label and insist you have to pay for returns for thier mistakes and that they will pay you back but other reviews say that they never do. They also just ignore emails concerning returns. I suspect that they send the wrong items deliberately when something isn't in stock and then insist you pay for returns and then ignore people so they give up. Shoe sizings are also completely incorrect and items are made in CHINA.

STAY AWAY!! AWFUL COMPANY

Please DO NOT waste your hard earned money ordering from this company. Not only are the clothes poor quality and awful fabrics but the sizing is wild!!! My daughter wears 9-12 months currently and I ordered age 2-3 for our holiday in 12 months time thinking they would fit next year. They fit her now so no chance will they fit next year!! They are also operating illegally by refusing refunds/exhanges on sale items ordered online. I have had to contact my bank for a charge back against this dreadful company who ignore emails constantly and are incompetent!
Avoid, Avoid, Avoid… in fact RUN!!
