Absolute garbage! Quality control is ZERO.

They leak like crazy. I have a small flashlight that was very bright several days ago. Today however that flashlight was very dim.

I open it up and one of the three duracell batteries had leaked white powder all over the negative terminal.

Fortunately I caught this in the nick of time otherwise that flashlight would have been ruined.

No more DURACELL for me! You pay good money for such a crappy brand as Duracell.

The owners/upper management should be absolutely ashamed of themselves for putting out such a crappy battery!

Bought a 4 pack of Duracell AA batteries this morning from my local store for a small dab radio they were £4 They have lasted just over 3.5 hours and are now flat. How can this be I would of been better buying the Panasonic ones for £1 for a pack of 4. And Duracell have the nerve to advertise that there batteries last 4 times longer than regular ones totally disgusting worst batteries I have ever bought

Duracell batteries are *rap. Leaked all over my devices and ruined them. Had 5-7 years on dates. Never had that problem with Energizer or Ray o vac. Had leaks with Duracells multiple times and ALL sizes. You will be sorry if you buy them..... CS was rude, dismissive and would not cover devises even though they were "guaranteed" Absolute junk...

Oplaadbare batterijen zijn na ca 10 keer opladen volkomen uitgeput. Waar ze in eerste instantie twee maanden mee gingen gaan ze nu in hetzelfde apparaat hooguit twee dagen mee.

De klantenservice is een nachtmerrie. Ze vragen je het hemd van het lijf en grijpen dan iedere mogelijkheid aan om te schieten. Ze schieten ook non stop met losse flodders: ze 'infomeren' je over het juiste gebruik van de batterijen, ook als je die volkomen correct gebruikt hebt.

De batterijen blijken opeens ook zeer gevoelige zieltjes te zijn. Ze kunnen bijna nergens tegen, temperatuurverschillen, geen kamertemperatuur, vochtige ruimte, verschillende opladers, niet volledig opladen of niet volledig leeg raken, en vooral niet tegen door Duracell afgekeurde opladers of nog beter apparaten waarbij niet duidelijk vermeld staat dat er oplaadbare batterijen in gebruikt mogen worden. En zelfs dan....

Kortom....de schuld ligt in alle gevallen bij de gebruiker.

Om dit te bewijzen zijn ze tot alles bereid. Ze speuren het hele internet af op zoek naar handleidingen van jouw apparatuur waar iets staat over een voorkeur voor alkaline batterijen en hop daar ga je. Als je ze uitlegt dat er in jouw handleiding duidelijk staat dat alle doorsnee batterijen gebruikt mogen worden inclusief oplaadbare negeren ze dat volledig en beginnen over een ander door jou gebruikt apparaat waar ze iets over gevonden hebben.

Dat hun medewerkers meer kosten dan het verzenden van een nieuw pakje batterijen doet daarbij niet ter zake. Zo lang ze maar geen enkele vorm van aansprakelijkheid krijgen is het wat hen betreft oké. Ik word als kleine consument behandeld als een bedreiging, niet als klant van een 'betrouwbaar' A-merk.

Le Duracell Optimum hanno un grosso difetto: dopo un inizio perfetto, cominciano ad erogare energia in modo irregolare. Problema riscontrato in diverse batterie negli ultimi 2 anni. Ho un orologio double face in salone, pile cambiate con l'ora legale di marzo, un orologio di recente si è fermato 6 minuti per poi ripartire, l'altro ha fatto una o più pause di ore. Non sono costanti.

Battery for my generator is defective and Duracell wants to pass me off to Battery Biz who doesn't answer or return calls. Then they push me to Batteries Plus or doesn't give me an option to leave a review on the battery. Seems a little to controlled in my opinion. Duracell batteries are not what they use to be. They leak and keep my product from operating. Worse time to find out is during a hurricane and ridiculous that two months later no one is willing to look into the matter.

Habe Duracel Activair Hearing aid 312 mit dem Haltbarkeitsdatum 2028-03. Von bis jetzt 10 benutzen Batterien waren 7 ohne Saft und die restlichen 3 waren nach jeweils einem Tag leer. Versprochen werden eigentlich 7 Tage. Werde zukünftig keine Duracel mehr kaufen

I’ve bought primarily Duracell batteries for over 20 years. When 2 AA batteries leaked in a piece of electronic equipment (Amp meter) my brother suggested sending pictures & contacting the company. They were very responsive & after providing all the required info & sending my Amp meter to them, I thought I’d get a “sorry nothing we can do” letter. Instead I got a thank you letter & a check that was adequate to replace the Amp meter. What a pleasure these days to find a corp that stands behind its product. It’s Duracell exclusively for me. THANKS Duracell!👍🏻

Liquid leakage from the batteries. Because of these both of my tv remotes are not working

Weer een lekkende duracell , in het verleden al wat apparaten weg moeten gooien doordat ze kapot waren gegaan door lekkende duracell terwijl de houdbaarheidsdatum ver in de toekomst was. Gewoon de meest onbetrouwbare batterijen die er zijn en nog zo duur ook. Sindsdien alleen nog Varta en deze zijn zeer goed sterk en betrouwbaar.

I have never had a leaking battery from any other manufacturer but today was the third occasion a leaking Duracell battery caused a problem and the device to stop working. Fortunately the device wasn’t damaged. The two previous occasions were a leak from a TV control that severely damaged the finish on an oak coffee table and my Bose headphones where the leak completely destroyed the circuitry. I did get compensation from the supplier in respect of the headphones. My advice would be don’t put Duracell in any device you value. I will certainly never buy them again.

So Duracell is advertising best ever high performance batteries again..Duracell Optimum upto 200% Extra Life which is literally 75% less powerful than their previous best ever Duracell Ultra. Yes another manufacturer that is ripping off their customers with extortionate prices for less quality...what's new?
Budget shop batteries are more useful and longer lasting.
Lets see if Duracell has the decency to reply.

I have several batteries leak and they all have been Duracell, I have switched to have Everready batteries and so far had no problems. Duracell have ruined a voltage meter, a computer mouse and electronic door opener to just mention a few.

Worst batteries ever!! Expiration date Mar2035. They have ruined several items of mine. In fact I had them in one item for less than a week and found them leaking. Can’t blame poor quality on misuses it’s a battery for Pete’s Sake! I will never purchase Duracell products again. I even bought a case for storage and when I went to get a battery the entire bottom of the case was wet with battery acid!! Had to throw about 30 batteries away!!

Nachfolgend handelt es sich stets um Batterien, deren Haltbarkeitsdatum in der Zukunft liegt, die also noch nicht "abgelaufen" waren.
11.1.2024 telefonisch Schaden gemeldet: Batterien in Blutdruckmessgerät ausgelaufen, Gerät musste komplett zerlegt werden (es war, wie sich später erst herausstellte, leider nicht mehr funktionfähig); außerdem große Anzahl neuer/unbenutzter Batterien ausgelaufen
12.1.24 von Duracell allgemeines Schreiben zu möglichen Ursachen auslaufender Batterien bekommen; bitten um Bilder/Beschreibung des Schadens
27.1.24 Bilder geschickt/Schaden beschrieben. Weitere ausgelaufene Batterien und beschädigte Fernbedienung gemeldet. Daraufhin am 29.1.24 eine Gutschrift über 18€ zum Einkauf im Duracell Direct Internetshop oder als Übw. bekommen (entspricht vom Wert dort etwa 4 AA-Akkus !)
29.1.24 in der Zwischenzeit hatte ich weitere Geräte überprüft und festgestellt, dass bei Einigen Duracell-Batterien ausgelaufen sind und diese Geräte entsprechend gereinigt/repariert werden mussten. Ich war deshalb enttäuscht und hab die 18€ als zu gering bemängelt und wenigstens um Ersatzakku aus dem Duracell Direct Internetshop für Notebook gebeten.
5.4.24: Nach 10 Wochen !!! meldet sich Duracell erst wieder und verweist auf technische Probleme/Spam. Für mich nicht glaubhaft! Duracell bietet weiterhin nur 18€ Entschädigung an. Enttäuschend! Ein echtes Armutszeugnis.
Fazit: Ich kann Duracell NICHT EMPFEHLEN und werde diese Erfahrungen auch weitergeben. Und leider haben offenbar viele andere ähnliche Erfahrungen gemacht ....

We bought a 36 pack of AA batteries it had 9 packs of 4 in it at one battery out of every pack was leaking. According to their expiration date the batteries were supposed to be good for another 4 years. I will never buy Duracell batteries again don't waste your money.

Who in their right mind would put a small sticker on a button battery that makes it completely useless and not put a "remove before using" label on it, this very nearly cost me hundreds of pounds when I tried to replace my car remote fob

Duracell alkaline AAA battery exploded in my Sony TV remote control last night after only being in the remote 3 weeks. The batteries have a MAR 2030 expiration date on them. This isn’t the first time I’ve had Duracell batteries malfunction e.g., corrode after less than a month inside either a TV remote or ceiling fan remote. These remotes are inside my home HVAC controlled environments between 68 - 78 degrees F. I’ve contacted Duracell before concerning these faulty and now dangerous batteries, without a response. I’m going to remove all these from my home and not purchase them anymore. They are now exploding. I submitted a complaint to Duracell with pictures of the exploded battery I hurriedly removed from my Sony TV remote (TV is less than a year old) as soon as I heard the explosion.

Changed end November and have already run out - appalling at the high price and over promising advertising
Will switch to rechargeable from now on
