Agreed Demo fee not paid…
I have worked with the sync department of this company called Tweny, owned by the same person who runs Echo Orange. Tweny contacted me to create a demo for a pitch, with a clearly specified fee and deadline. I agreed and submitted my work in February 2025.
Despite numerous follow-ups over the following months, I received an email in September 2025 stating that they would not pay the full agreed demo fee and asked me to issue an invoice for a reduced amount. After months of frustration and disappointment, I reluctantly accepted and sent the invoice in September 2025.
As of the end of October 2025, I still haven’t been paid and have lost hope that I ever will be. That’s why I decided to share this experience to warn other composers.
I also have signed tracks with this company, but my attempts to withdraw them have been ignored — they simply do not respond to emails. Working with them was a mistake, and I sincerely hope other composers research the company before sending them demos or signing with them.
