These clowns were appointed by IKEA to look at a faulty mattress. The so called "engineer" who examined it recognised the fault (collapsed on one side) and then made up a ludicrous story about us "sitting on the mattress to look at their lovely garden" and therefore blaming us for the fault. The garden isn't visible while sitting on the edge of the mattress and the mattress is turned regularly.
This company is clearly targeted to minimise claims even for legitimate product faults. Avoid them and use Small Claims process instead.

I strongly urge anyone not to use Ecomaster.!!!They use substandard materials and tell Lies!
I was let down very badly and had to get another company to put right Ecomaster's shoddy workmanship. What should have cost £250 ended up costing me over a thousand pounds and many months of frustration. I wouldn't want anyone else to have a nightmare of problems with them.

BEWARE OF THESE SO CALLED PROFESSIONALS THEY ARE A JOKE OF A COMPANY

Do not let these people into your home for any insurance work …… these people are unprofessional untrustworthy and liars and do a job my 5 year old could do better.The so called painter came unannounced to my home 🏠 after my home was stuck by lightning ⚡️ I thought that this was bad until eco master came repair the damage……. They made more of a mess than the storm did …… please if you value your home and do not let these cowboys any where near your home …. Call your insurance and don’t let them even past the door keep them away if you care anything about your home… this is how bad they are painting around fire alarms no dust sheets ruined my leather sofa everything had to be redone when I asked them to leave because of the bad language and the mess they left everywhere…..still fighting the case 6 months later do not trust these people DO NOT LET THEM INTO YOUR HOME

Ecomaster - dreadful, avoid at all cost

Ecomaster were allocated to us following an insurance claim for flood damage. They promised they would give us a detailed plan of works ahead of the repair project so we knew what to expect. They said they would minimise disruption and the trades people would work 100% on our project once it started. Nothing could be further from the truth! It has been horrendous from the start many months ago. What was quoted as a 4-6 week project has dragged on for months and there have been many days/weeks when no-one turned up & no work took place. We have had to constantly chase to get things started and progressing and were made to feel unreasonable for asking any questions about the project. Communication has been poor throughout and the so called project manager has been noticeably absent and incommunicado. Towards the end there was a flurry of work but it was all done in a hurried slapdash way until "completion" this week. What we were left with was half finished and what was done was poor quality especially the wonky tiles. The house, garage & driveway were left in a filthy mess. The "completed" bathroom was signed off and within hours of first use we had a flood which went theough the floor into the kitchen from a poorly fitted shower. We now have a snag list as long as your arm, some of which probably can't even be rectified. If you have any choice avoid at all costs.

To be avoided at all costs. Totally unreliable, don't turn up when they say, quality of workmanship is poor, use unskilled labour on tradesman's jobs, couldn't care less about the client or honouring what they quoted for. Cut corners at every opportunity. Quoted 2/3 weeks to do a refurb job and stated they wouldn't leave the site until the job was completed. 11 weeks later and it's still not done. In all that time they only turned up on site more than one day per week twice and on the days they did turn up, they were never on site more than 6 and a half hours. Basically rip off merchants who have no issues lying whenever questioned.

Unscrupulous company

I can not give this company any stars. They are liers and thieves, was allocated this joke of a company to do insurance work for us. They are claiming ridiculous amounts of money off the insurance company but not doing the work. I feel sorry for anyone caught up with them through no fault of there own

A complete con. Avoid!

I employed eco-master to inspect my Tempur mattress which has absolutely dipped and lost density on one side.

The technician agreed with me about the fault, and took photographs. I explained to him that it had dipped on the side I lay, but that I absolutely had not sat on the mattress, because of a spinal injury which has left me housebound, and unable to sit in any chair. He saw that I was walking with sticks and could not sit on a chair. When I got the report through, the technician had written twice that the dip was caused by me sitting on the mattress.

I phoned eco-master to ask them to put this right, and change ‘sit’ to ‘lie’, and they refused.

The technician also stated that the mattress was sprung, when it is memory foam.
Any other company would apologise for this human error, and put it right.

The fact that it was refused outright, despite both errors being provable, makes me really wonder about the legality of this firm.
I am now going to get some letters from my GP, Orthopaedic surgeon and physio, to confirm that I have not been able to sit at all in at least a year.

This will prove that what the technician has written is completely false, despite me explaining clearly to him. The reviews on Google are worth a look. Many many one star reviews, all claiming that eco-master is in cahoots with Ikea. It certainly seems that way.

The technicians will say one thing to your face to reassure you, and write something completely different on the report, always on the side of the company, and not on the customer. It is comforting to know that I am not alone, but I am absolutely livid and will not drop this now.

I will be going to trading standards, as I believe it is about time somebody did.

They are biased and don’t write ethical report . I bought sofa bed from ikea six months ago. My 15 years old son is now complaining that he is suffering from back pain while sleeping on the sofa bed.
Ikea sent ecomaster engineer to check . He himself said that it sinks in the middle and examined the sofa bed in just 4 min and left and sent no faulty report to ikea. Please don’t allow ikea to send these biased engineers to your house . These both companies want to rob you only. I lost my £700

Bought 2 sodas from Ambrose Wilson and…

Bought 2 sodas from Ambrose Wilson and within 3 weeks I reported them as faulty. Seats very uncomfortable to sit on. Ecomaster was sent and after a quick sit on sofas said nothing wrong. I asked for another visit and a different engineer came. He agreed all 5 seats were faulty either manufacturing fault or bad design fault. Ecomaster sent a no fault found report to Ambrose Wilson. I rang the engineer and he confirmed his report stated there was a fault in every seat. But Ecomaster won't tell Ambrose Wilson this and Ambrose Wilson won't repair or replace sofas. Sofas are not fit for purpose and cannot be used. Ecomaster is a joke. Working in favour of big companies to screw customers out of money. The engineer told me Ecomaster system was faulty and not separating reports from each individual job. This he said is probably the reason for wrong report being sent. Ecomaster don't respond to me and haven't rectified the mistake. Not a company I would ever trust.

I complained to Ikea about a sofa, that in a short time had become saggy and uncomfortable. They sent out Ecomaster for inspection. When he arrived I invited him to sit, he rolled into the corner and looked like he was almost sitting on the floor. He managed to get out of it and continued to inspect by gathering up the material. I asked if he agreed with my complaint and he said yes they don't make them as they used to. His report to Ikea though said not a manufacturing fault and it was wear and tear!! The biggy here is that the sofa is LESS THAN 6 MONTHS OLD and there is only two in our household working through the day
IKEA refuse to do anything to resolve this. What do I do now?

Hopeless company.

Hopeless company.
I paid £48 for a mattress report REF 6824-1.
Three weeks later (after three phone calls and three emails (emails I received no response to)) I am still awaiting the report.
Anyway its gone Trading Standards as Ecomaster Staff just pay you lip service.
I don't like poor service and I don't like having money taken off me without goods in return.
Ultimately this is the sort of thing I instruct a solicitor for (out of principal)... avoid like the plague

Independent survey of furniture 🤦‍♂️

An independent survey of furniture 🤦‍♂️ was either incompetent or not that independent. I bought a bed from BensonsForBeds which started to creek within less than a year of use. In oreder to fix it BensonsForBeds sailsman (I had to visit branch as they weren't responding to my calls/emails) gave me contacts of EcoMaster for independent survey. So, an EcoMaster guy turned up for a 5 min, pushed the bed in a few spots and conclued that I was sitting on the side for prolong period of time (which is not true). Then BensonsForBeds refused to repair the bed on this basis.

Saggy sofa sorted!

Colin was polite and courteous and he worked hard to boost the support on the corner section of my IKEA sofa under the 10 year furniture warranty. This Eco option of repairing furniture is a great concept and the company kept me informed of appointment times throughout the process. Many thanks.

I am blown away with the kindness of some people

I have had problems with a couple of wardrobes I purchased from John Lewis, back in February.
Mark came to see me 5 weeks ago, and took a look at what needed to be done. He said that the wardrobes needed to be taken apart and completely rebuilt, and this was a job for two people and would take a good few hours to do.
I booked the job in with John Lewis.
Mark arrived today, from Ecomaster and realised he had been to my house a few weeks ago, and it should of been two people arriving today.
I was so upset with John Lewis.
Mark told me not to worry. He went upstairs out of the kindness of his heart, and rebuilt my wardrobes.
I can not thank him enough.
I would highly recommend Mark at Ecomaster, and use him again in the future.

Lied to our faces and then again in their report.

Ecomaster were sent out on behalf of John Lewis to inspect a Simba mattress that was starting to sag after only a years worth of use.

The 'technician' when visiting didn't touch the mattress and was in the house a couple of minutes only. He said to us that the product was clearly faulty and would pass the information along.

When we received the report it said the opposite. It blamed the fact that we had moved house and also that it had a couple of minute tea stains that affected the support. John Lewis, to their initial shame, believed the word of these fraudsters, even though reviews of this company show how bad they are.

I have to pay for another firm to come and inspect it correctly. I also put the findings to Simba who said that what Ecomaster reported wouldn't have affected the mattresses condition. In the end I got a full refund but it was a fight due to lies of Ecomaster. Please be careful with these people and if John Lewis/Ikea/any other firm say they use them.....beware.

(It was found that the mattress's foam had delaminated and the glue bond had deteriorated - a clear warranty issue - and please note I am not being critical of Simba who were not otherwise involded).

Colin was amazing!

Had Colin Brown out today to fix our sofa, he arrived within the time he had suggested and contacted us to let us know he would be 10-15 minutes.

He was polite and friendly, and fixed the issue with our sofa in about 10 minutes! Great service! Would recommend again 10/10

Colin did a great job replacing water damaged unit and floorboards and left everything clean and tidy afterwards, very happy. Highly recommend.
