Integrity issues , poor customer service and
For any one reading this , firstly I am not the type of person to go onto sites and write a review however I felt an upmost need to share this with other genuine members of the public,
I was hit by a lorry whilst driving on 8th December 2022 , the lorry belonged to eland cables this causing thousands of pounds to my personal vehicle. I work hard to pay for my private insurance. The collision was not my fault as the artic pulled into me a at junction scrapping all of the offside of my car . I was not to blame. On resolution of this collision which was quite simple unfortunately eland cables do not avocation their drivers to admit liability even when they are in the wrong, they also advise their drivers not to pick up the phone to repairs or insurance companies who are trying to resolve the investigation. I phoned eland cables direct as I was understandably upset however I was greeted by a dismissive manager who actively admitted that they would not advise their drivers to admit liability as it effects their premiums. I am utterly disappointed and disheartened that a simple instruction and admission of liability would mean my car could could of been fixed promptly however I am now having to use my own insurance as if ‘eland cables had no business insurance at all’.!
Anyone wanting to use this company I would think twice , if their credibility is anything to go by they aren’t an upstanding business, they are also using lorry drivers who are not of a good standard. This would make me question their standards of employment, level of drivers driving capability and integrity . Let’s hope they don’t cause someone some real injury to others in the future as luckily I came away with just damage to my car not my life.
