Elitelocksmiths Avis 

They were called Supreme Locksmiths who were scamming people and they scammed and ripped me off. Supreme Locksmiths have rebranded themselves as Elite Locksmiths doing the same scamming and overcharging tricks. I found out as they both have used the same phone number of 020 8057 4444 for contact.

Wish I could give it less than 1 star. Told £35 and arrival in 30 minutes - took 2 hours to come with no regard for lateness or apology. Faffed around outside my door even though it's past midnight now - trying to say it'll cost £220 to open the door and wouldn't open it until I'd paid - the door was not even LOCKED, just closed on a latch.

I refused to pay and when I called EliteLocksmith to complain about this insanely grotesque hidden charge, they said to agree the new price with their sub contractor - which is completely illegal. Subcontractor then threatens to leave - knowing I am locked outside at night with a dead phone - trying to take advantage of the situation.

I emailed EliteLocksmith to follow up - and they tried to deny it was their company that sent someone out. I sent back proof of calls to the number attached to their phone adverts - and suddenly no response. I thankfully had the sense to pay with my credit card and was able to charge back anything over £35.

Avoid at all costs! Awful business people and should be ashamed of themselves. The actual 'unlocking' took 3 seconds using a metal prong to push back an unlocked latch - as I explained to the person sent out - not exactly skilled work that could any way justify a £255 charge.

Note: company is called ELITE HOME SECURITY LTD (16725989) on company house and previously used to be called CAMDEN LOCKSMITH LTD (15916130) - I imagine had too many bad reviews so was changed in 2025 to the new company and new address.

Arrived home from holiday to find that we couldn't open the front door as we had left the key in the lock on the inside. Called this company, was informed by the operator that it would be a £49 call out charge and should be no more than a £100 to carry out the actual job, as he would not need to do any drilling or be suppling a new lock. We were told he would be with us in 20mins. 1hr and 40mins later he finally arrived.
On his arrival he told us it would cost £300.00 plus the £49.80p call out charge. This could only be paid in cash or bank transfer which would incur a further 20%fee. Wouldn't give us his name or show any form of ID. Oddly enough he didn't ask any of us for ID.

He Informed us that he would have to be paid before he carried out the job. Which I found strange, as usually a service is paid for on completion. He became quite abrupt when we questioned why he was charging way more than what we were quoted on the phone. He then started saying in an aggressive manner that he had other jobs to do, and if we didn't want it done, he would leave. He obviously had the upper hand, as we were 5 adults and a baby of 20months and a load of suitcases and bags.locked out at 11:30pm. So we paid up,£49.80 for call out and a reduced price of £249.00. for his one (1) minute job he carried out.
It honestly took him all of 1 minute if that, to take the tool out of his case and put it through our letter box, and just like that, the door was opened with the key still in the lock
I appreciate it is supposed to be skilled job. but I do feel that this was a rip off.as I previously said, it took him less than a minute to open the door.
In comparison. My neighbours got broken into through their patio doors and the locksmith she used had to replace the locks and the bar to her door, grand total £215.00. I have since phoned round and had quotes from other locksmiths and none of them have quoted what we were charged.

Avoid like the plague! Horrific experience, charged almost £300 just to come and open the door and then was extremely hostile trying to lock us out again after questioning the price! Called the company back this morning to understand the payment only to be told the technicians give their own prices and they don't have the names or contact details of the technicians that work for them?

DO NOT USE LOCKSMITH SERVICE. Called in an emergency scenario to open a door where we were locked in. locksmith arrived almost 1.5hrs late, kept texting and claiming that he's almost arrived. Proceeded to quote extortionate price £600+ on the spot to complete the basic job, I had no choice but to proceed given that we've already been locked in for so long and had to wait for the locksmith to arrive. Asked for direct bank transfer and completed a haphazard invoice.
