Dodgy

The service over the phone and email sounds dodgy. Poor communication, the medical online form isn't working, so they scheduled a telephonic appointment but never called me back. So, I called again, and I was asked to provide my personal identification details like my date of birth over the phone.
Seems not having any process, or privacy policy in place. I would not recommend

Disorganised, Disappointing, and Lacking in Transparency

I was initially drawn to EMSEE because of their promise of flexibility and specialised support for women during menopause — but the reality was incredibly frustrating and disappointing.

There were constant changes to fees and appointment scheduling, with no clear communication about what was being charged or why. Medicare rebates were never passed on, despite being advertised as part of the service, and it often took repeated follow-ups to get any clarity.

Calls went unanswered, and even after selecting the callback option, no one ever returned my call. Meanwhile, I received automated and conflicting text messages — one saying my medication had been sent, another saying my prescription had expired, followed by messages about missed payments. It felt completely disorganised and impersonal.

This is especially disappointing coming from a healthcare provider that claims to support women during menopause — a time when clear communication, compassion, and consistency should be a priority.

I hope EMSEE reflects on their approach and prioritises genuine care and support for their clients in the future.

Fantastic service

Thanks! Here’s a polished version of your review that includes everything you’ve

Emsee was recommended to me by a friend, and while I had read and noted some of the negative reviews beforehand, I decided to give them a try - and I’m really glad I did.

My experience has been entirely positive. The admin staff and program nurses have been helpful, responsive, and easy to contact. The doctor I had my consultation with was attentive and took the time to go through my medical history thoroughly, which I really appreciated.

All in all, I’m grateful to have access to a service like this. It’s been a supportive and professional experience from start to finish.

Save your money

Save your money, it cost me over $300 when I was at my weakest and found the "Australian Menopause Centre" first when googling. I signed up and discovered they were overpriced after the fact.

It ended up costing $70 for equivalent support from my GP + medications after medicare/PBS (with 5 repeats mind you, so it will cost $16 a month without a forced drs visit).

Do your research to understand perimenopause/menopause first, most forums online will provide you advice on the most common MRT/HRT medications (or alternate supplements). Arm yourself with this knowledge and see a good female dr who understands women's health.

Emsee are over priced and taking advantage of desperate women knowing no better and for the premium they charge, I'm still scratching my head how they get away with it.

It is very expensive and I keep getting the run around. Plus I am persuaded to purchase supplements to help. This has cost me hundreds. Almost thousands of dollars and nothing has worked.
They have passed on the Govt rebate but changed their pricing schedule so it is now m0re expensive than it was. I have lost a lot of money to Emsee.

An online platform supposedly designed to support women

An online platform designed to support women whilst at the same time, taking advantage of them financially.
Writing 30 day scripts knowing full well 60 day scripts are available for the same price, thereby avoiding passing in the savings. And when I cancel my enrolment, I have to chase repeatedly to get my money refunded!
Who’s profiting from this?

DO NOT USE

I had nurse consult for 20 min, I listed 4-5 symptoms, spoke to a doc couple of days later and
A. they were difficult to communicate with, initially they were not taking note of the dates I said around periods etc, this frustrated me, then I started getting dates confused and at end of call Doc told me I wouldn't be suitable for HRT as I only have 1 symptom IE hot flushes. I asked what abt my other symptoms? but the nurse had only listed one. it was such a poor experience that I told them not to progress and Id rather pay for a $350 consult at a legitimate org where I was actually listened to rather than a free one that was useless. I have no doubt they will charge Medicare for that 5 minute useless consult. So I guess they have made their money and are happy anyway. USELESS
