FCMB worst bank in Nigeria

If You don’t want blood pressure, stress, diabetic, heart attack n untimely death 💀 run as far as your legs can take you from FCMB especially if you are from diaspora. Most useless bank in Nigeria, they behave like animals from their directors (they travel the world n you expect them to know better) to their front line staff. They treat customers like animals no respect, no manners, no value for mankind. If you have respect for customers you won’t block or frozen their account without prior notification. No email, no letter no text. I wasn’t aware my account was frozen until the point of transaction when I wanted to withdraw money. You can imagine how disappointed this is, I was so fuming n upset, those useless good for nothing staff started pushing me from pillar to post. I spent the whole day wasting my time in the bank without the issues being unresolved. No wonder Nigeria 🇳🇬 was referred to as a zoo, FCMB is a zoology, there is a lot to talk about that bank, they withhold some of my money. I just want to close my account with them so that I can withdraw my remaining money. SHAME 😳 ON ALL FCMB STAFF.

Job Done

Great customer service from the FCMB as I got the statement of account needed on time after verification from the bank.

FCMB is the worst bank ever

FCMB is the worst bank ever. Please do not put your money here. Customer service is also terrible. I have called over 9 times today to get a certified version of my bank statement. Unfortunately, my request has not been attended to. I'm unable to meet a deadline due to FCMB's incompetence. I wish I never banked with them.

OPT Number Recognition Problem

Very good and fast app but doesn't recognise the opt numbers generated by the bank. I found it bizarre. Because of this, I have not been able to move money around for over a year now. Frustrating

It's not even worth a one star.
This is not a bank for people who live outside Nigeria. It's Not a forward-looking company. They have non challant attitude towards customers complains. I have sent multiple messages, u get an automated reply saying ur complain will be treated within 24 hours and ask not send another message on the same issue but you dont hear back from them. After 2 months, still waiting to hear back. Chatting with them on whatapp is the worse. They are not flexible atall. Despite letting them know I am a customer who lives abroad, they refused to treat my requests. Calling their customer care is a mess. They have no idea what they are doing.
I have been trying to change my surname on my bvn for over 2 months now. Filled and notarized every documents they asked for , yet it hasn't been done. Called them , i was redirected to the account manager where i opened the account. Called account manager, says he is no longer serving in the branch. He can't help me.
Too much stress all in the name of editing my details. I opened another account with another bank that has proxy pick for token since they don't. Now I can't send money out cos FCMB is yet to change my details on my BVN. It's crazy. I have heard people complain so much about FCMB but I didn't know their lackadaisical attitude is this much.

FCMB is low-quality and very scrappy.

These guys offer low-quality support.
Bottom-of-the-rung customer service.
Can you imagine I called phone support and was told, "There are currently no other customers ahead of you in the queue" and subsequently, "all our customer care agents are currently busy as we're experiencing extremely high call volumes". The truth is, NOBODY was manning the phone support and they were not attending to customers.

And then when I try to reach them on socials with my complaints, I get useless responses from a bot.

In the final analysis, it finally took them 8 days to refund the failed transactions, after spending a sizeable chunk of money calling their phone support.

I cannot give them my full recommendation at this time.
