Go Local and Avoid FERRELL!!
The company is disorganized and untrustworthy, and this past winter was the worst. After numerous no-shows on expected delivery dates, and many calls and emails reminding them, they finally showed just before my tank went empty. The driver could barely navigate the truck, crashed into several snow banks, strewing ice chunks all over my freshly shoveled driveway, and, he did not tighten the fill cap, which I noticed by smelling propane near the tank. Northeast winters are brutal enough without having to worry about propane delivery. As soon as this tank empties, they are GONE!!

Ferrell gas did not refill our tank . We went without hot water, oven not working, and water tank damaged with sludge. Costing us over 3 grand to replace and convert to electric. We are also seniors and retired on limited funds. We were over charged for gas. We went with a different company. We are still waiting for Ferrell gas to pick up their very unsightly blue tank for almost 2 months. Ferrell gas service out the phone company , that have continued to reschedule to Monday to Wednesday to Friday. No show No call. The tank is still in my front yard. We are being ignored and used as Ferrell storage place for an unsightly blue tank

I ordered a propran refill in January and it is now February 25th, and I still haven't got a delivery originally scheduled for the 12th move to the 20th. Move to the 24th and still no gas use caution with this company. They were good, they're terrible now.

Called after tank had been buried in extreme snow and cold- was at 3%. Rep said I would go to top of dispatch. 1 week later and tank is empty. Its February 2026. Called 4 times and was told I would be made a priority. All lies. Told I would get a call back. Never did. Eff this company. Been with them years and its gone straight down hill. Changing companies asap. Stay away!
WORST COMPANY
The absolutely worst company I have ever worked with in my life. Their negligence has caused me significant damage due to their failure to timely fill my tank and their unreasonable cancellation of fill-ups. And they are so incredibly unpleasant to deal with. THE ABSOLUTELY WORST COMPANY EVER!!!
Ordered gas 1/28/26
Ordered gas 1/28/26; was given a delivery by 2/17 date. On 2/17 called and was told that was not a guaranteed delivery date; that was simply a goal they hope to have delivered. They will still not give me a delivery date and told me I wasn't on the schedule. This is not right; I had to pay over $400 up front and have already paid that charge on my card and I still don't know when I'll get a gas delivery.

I would give this company no stars if possible. I called to order gas when I was finally able to check it after all the snow and below normal temperatures we had. According to their estimates online I had 23 percent, I actually had 5 percent after checking tank. My husband and I are both 70 years old and my husband is disabled and on oxygen. We couldn’t check tank with the snow and below normal temperatures we had. Well I called them on feb 9 and I have called daily since. No propane yet and now we are out and have been since Thursday. Not only do we have no heat we also have no hot water because we have a propane water heater. I will be going with another company after this fill, whenever I get it. I would go ahead and change, but there isn’t another company that can set another tank right away. If you are in the market for a a propane company run away from this one. We have had their service for 30 years, but that doesn’t matter to them.
Ferrellgas in Utah
Ferrellgas in Utah, I can’t not express what a joy it has been working with them. Every customer service representative I’ve spoken to is so nice and my delivery driver Colton C is absolutely wonderful. My old propane company was the worst I could imagine and ferrellgas has been nothing but great and goes above and beyond any expectations I could’ve wished for. I have recommended this company to everyone in my neighborhood.
Still waiting for propane
Still waiting for propane. I don’t worry with empty promises from Ferrell bc they can’t even tell me when they can deliver. My original order was scheduled for 1.27. Placed order on 1.20. As of 2.11. No propane and no answers. We are on their co-op and we feel like they could care less if we get fuel from them or not. Very frustrating. I know there was a winter storm. But the raids in our area have been cleared for a week now and still no word. I’m looking into different options.

Negative 100 stars! Ferrellgas is horrible! They have left my son and his family with a special needs child without heat for almost 3 days! Their pipes have frozen, they are freezing and getting ill now on top of that. My son requested a refill at 40% because they have had many issues in the past, they have been rescheduled 3 times now and no one at the company seems to care or be able to help. Run as far away from this company as fast as you can!

I ordered propane on January 13 when my tank was at 30%, as advised by Ferrell representatives. It is now February 2 and I have not received any propane. I am not on a schedule for a delivery. I spoke with a rep today and was told ferrell is aware of the length of time since I placed my order and that I'm "not the only one" waiting. I have cancelled my account because this is not the first time this has happened to me.
In the past I was told deliveries to my area are only made on a Thursdays of each week. On January 20 I say a ferrell delivery truck in my area, within 4 miles of my home.
No propane literally!
Order propane last Wednesday here it is Thursday the 29th and no propane. I have called and updated my tank and let them know it’s empty. Supposedly I would be a priority. Still no update on ETA. Better planning would be a recommendation for this company. I was planning ahead so not to run out of propane because I knew I’d the projected snowstorm. Ferrell has no excuse. I will be switching companies as soon as this cold snap is over.
Avoid Ferrell Gas like the plague it is!
Ferrell Gas is once again leaving its customers without propane during the depths of the winter - as they do every, single year.
I contacted them last Tuesday to say my tank was getting low. At that point I was given an eight-day delivery window. I called back on Thursday to say my tank was even lower, and was then told that a delivery was scheduled for Saturday, another two days later. Yesterday came and went - no delivery, no communucation from Ferrell Gas. I called the emergency line this morning, and was told that I'm scheduled for a delivery tomorrow. Mind you, temperatures are in the single digits, and we're supposed to get almost two feet of snow today. My tank is on fumes, so it's likely I'll run out completely before they get here - if they even show.
This happens to Ferrell Gas customers in the Capital Region every year. How can a company whose sole purpose is to provide its customers with home heating fuel be allowed to do this?
Awful awful service
Ferrellgas is terrible at communication and unreliable. We finally had enough after this most recent issue. we are set on auto fill and they were suppose to come december 27th and just didn’t show up. Fast forward to January 2nd we have no heat and call to have someone come out, they first say they might be able to get someone out in a day or two and then never call back. the next person says they can’t get someone out for 4 days even though we were on auto fill. We canceled their service and then they called to say they can maybe get someone out in two days. they are completely unreliable. now we have no heat in January in Michigan for the weekend with an infant, writing this so others don’t waste their time doing service with them.
Customer service.
We have a 2 unit home supposedly on automatic fill when it gets below half tank. We have not had a fill since November 20th. We called on December 18th that our gauge said 18%. That said we were out for delivery. Happy New Year 2026. We have no heat & it is 4 degrees. Ferrellgas gas has the worst service on the planet. Go with any other company. Pay more because these guys suck . The worst. No heat on New Year Day 1/1/2026😡😡😡😡😡

I have never written a bad review so this is a first. We had our tank picked up and it had 50% propane in the tank. Ferrell Gas will not give me a refund for the propane in the tank and also charged me a $100 plus tax pick up charge. This is outrageous! The tank was leaning and not safe. We asked them to come fix for 3 months and then asked them to just pick it up. Please never use this company or get the rules before you used them.

I was nervous about being a propane user from horror stories on the usage and cost from those I know. I cannot say enough how incredible every staff member from driver to customer service has been walking me through the process. They are patient and taking the time to explain in assure you understand the caution and benefits. Even when I mistakenly almost let my tank of propane run empty, I could not believe the grace I was given and helpful stepson, how to be ahead of it. If you have something bad to say about this company, I can genuinely say you haven’t given them a fair chance to prove who they really are!
I had them set up for delivery
I had them set up for delivery. They saw that I had a portable tank hooked up to my house line separate from the tank they were supposed to fill. I told them just to fill my tank or I can unhook it the portable later. They left and said it was unsafe and could come unhook the portable for $150 and wont fill the main tank until then. I said I would take care of it and not to worry about it. They said I would need a company letter head from a gas company to do it. Obsoletely ridiculous and customer service is horrible. Beware of this company!!!
