I had a reflexology treatment with Tanja. I have a tremor condition and it is difficult to travel to appointments. So, the privilege of having someone come to my home is priceless!! Tanja is a super person and not only gave me a good service, but explained what she was doing as she did it!

I signed up with Blys in October of…

I signed up with Blys in October of 2025 to receive an in home lymphatic drainage massage. The licensed massage therapist (LMT) I initially selected messaged me to tell me she does not provide lymphatic drainage massages.
I looked through other LMT profiles and when I looked at another therapists profile oage for additonal information, I was automatically scheduled for a massage on the same date I had with the initial LMT. I didn't select this person, I was looking through profiles of masseuses whose skills included lymphatic drainage massages. I immediately emailed Blys and they confirmed that the appointment was canceled and that the therapist was not trained in lymphatic massages.
I continued to look through profiles and the same thing happened again. Another masseuse was automatically placed into the appointment time slot and confirmed without me agreeing or selecting anything.
I was sent a tax receipt by Blys for services that were never rendered for an appointment I neither scheduled nor confirmed.
Blys had already pre-charged me $240.90 for a massage. I emailed back/forth with Blys customer service and was promised a refund which I still never received (2/2026).
I would warn anyone against using Blys, especially for massages.
Most of the profiles claim that the LMT's can provide a myriad of massage modalities which is not true. Secondly, because you pre-pay they take money out firsthand and, in my unfortunate situation I am out $240.90 & never received a massage.
I have taken steps to fight this, but I want others warned that Blys uses dishonest fraudulent tactics to steal from clients.
Blys has also locked me out of my account, but I screenshot the messages from the massage therapists confirming they don't provide lymphatic drainage massages.
Update: Blys responded back to me 3 days after my review. They acknowledge the 1st therapist didn't perform lymphatic drainage massage. They acknowledge that on viewing additonal available therapists, whomever selects the request is scheduled REGARDLESS of actually having the skillset. They so graciously charged me 10% for an appointment I did not choose with a person who was not even qualified to carry out said appointment.
They also confirmed in their response that I never actually confirmed any appointment, "so that's why the appointment could not be completed". I would always think that a rationale therapist who had never met a client would not proceed with an appointment without firstly speaking with that client.
Blys utilizes unscrupulous business practices as evidenced by my experience and the experience of others who have tried their services. In addition to filing a complaint with my bank, I have also filed complaints with the regulatory agencies that oversee consumer protections.

For clarity and transparency, we would like to restate the documented sequence of events:

Your initial booking was submitted as a direct request to a specific provider. During your in-app conversation, the provider informed you she was not certified in lymphatic drainage massage. At that point, you chose to open the booking to all providers so another professional could accept the request.

A different provider then accepted the booking. That appointment was subsequently cancelled, and a 10% platform fee was initially applied in accordance with our published cancellation policy. However, after your first complaint, we reviewed the matter and proceeded to refund that 10% platform fee as a gesture of goodwill.

You then created a new open booking request. A provider accepted and travelled to your location at the scheduled time. Our system records show multiple attempts to contact you via phone call and in-app messaging upon arrival. As no response was received, the appointment could not proceed.

A payment dispute was later lodged in relation to this second booking and reviewed through the appropriate process. Based on the documented booking history, communication logs, and provider attendance records, your card issuer determined the outcome.

We want to be clear that Blys does not automatically confirm services without a provider accepting the request, nor do providers proceed without a confirmed booking in the system. When a client opens a booking to all providers, any qualified provider who meets the listed service criteria may accept the request. Providers are responsible for accurately listing their qualifications, and we continuously review profiles and feedback to maintain platform standards.

We understand that booking flow and expectations around confirmation can sometimes cause confusion, and we appreciate feedback that helps us improve transparency. Our intention is always to provide a secure and clearly documented booking process for both clients and providers.

incredibly flexible and relaxing!

Blys provides experience, comfort and relaxation in your own home! I love the flexibility of fitting it in around school runs, work and home pressures. I have never had a bad massage!
