Easy transfer of my vehicle and helpful advice. Recommended way to help the charity of your choice.

Very useful service . Quick to process. They were very quick to follow up my query and sorted out the collect so well. The collection agent they used was very professional. And I’m pleased that monies generated will be going to a good cause (Oxfam in my case ) highly recommended

it says none profit but they take 30% for them selves and even still want you to pay for the copart auction fees on top so a £1200 car 44% they take and only 56% goes to charity where is the charity work in that so if a car is worth £5000 that is a charge of £1500 they want and still want you pay the auction fees as well you would probably be better off selling to we buy any car and donate money yourself at least you no how much your giving to your charity

I used this service because it was an easy way to dispose of a vehicle and donate to a Charity. Whole process was simple and managed efficiently. Would have liked info on outcome ie sold for scrap or further use but otherwise happy with experieñce

A great service. Efficient, friendly and easy to organise, and the money goes to a good cause. In my case, it made it a lot easier to have a car with sentimental value scrapped.

I absolutely love the idea behind Giveacar, donating a car and supporting a charity at the same time is a win-win. I chose to donate to Suffolk Air Ambulance, which made the whole thing feel even more worthwhile.
That said… the collection process was a bit of an endurance test. The outsourced company they use didn’t show up four times. Yes, four. At one point I felt like I was in a very niche waiting-for-a-van reality show.
But… as they say… 5th time’s a charm 🤷
The car did eventually get collected, and once it happened everything was smooth and straightforward.
So overall:

I’d still recommend Giveacar for the cause alone, you get to choose your own charity to donate too.
just bring a little patience, a sense of humour, and maybe don’t cancel your plans on pickup day… until attempt number five. 🚗✨

Having the chance to win, and have a choice

Two months since I handed over my car to the partner company chosen by Giveacar and I only now received confirmation that they have received payment and it will take weeks to actually get the money to my chosen charity. Never again, could have had cash from a scrapper on the day and donated the money ages ago, without paying them a cut for slowing things down

Quick, efficient service

This was not the first time that I have donated a car to charity using the service provided by Give-a-Car. The last time was several years ago and at that time I was totally impressed by the efficiency of the process. For this reason I was happy to donate another car to charity via Give-a-Car and I have again had first class service. The process timescale has been within the initial estimate provided and the proceeds from auction of the vehicle have been consistent with both a Give-a-Car estimate , my own personal expectation , and the price actually achieved.
There is one small point that I would mention , which is in no way critical , but which may be relevant to another customer at some time :
I was asked if there would be any difficulty for a car transporter accessing the road to my house to collect the car. I instictively thought of my previous car donation when a transporter for a single vehicle had been used without any difficulty and I said there would be no problem. Fortunately the driver from Copart telephoned me in advance of his arrival to collect and , in discussion , I found out that he was driving a big transporter with 5 vehicles on it, This would not be able to negotiate the last few hundred yards to my house. Fortunately , I live only a few hundred yards from a main A road and agreed wth the transporter driver to meet him with my car at a lay-by on the main road where it could easily be loaded. This worked well and I walked back home.
