GMC Tools Avis 7

Stay well clear!!
My 73 YO dad bough a sander from them. Given that he was only going to be using it as part of a hobby, he didn't see the need to register the (1 year) warranty which was a mistake on his part. Used the sander for max 4 hours and the bearings (we think) went on it. GMC agreed to take it back (Early November 2020) and fix it or replace it, communication for the first 3 months getting updates or feedback was like trying to draw blood out of a stone, after 3 months, communication just stopped. We are now 6 months on and none the wiser, no sander, so responses, no feedback, nothing. As another review here states, if buying ,you should probably consider the tool as a consumable! But my advice, save yourself the loss of money and steer well clear.

I purchased hedge trimmer, battery won't work after few times using it. Then managed to contact them even though its given me hard time to contact them and eventually I did. They given me a new replacement I used it "Great"then lately the replacement won't work again and thi is still less than a year. Now I am keep chasing them ...phone number and fb messages, no reply at all. Please don't buy there products.

IF you do work in construction - then all of tnis - simply made for you, great american brand where we really shouldn't be able to make anything possible out there. How else it's all being done ? Care to share that much or not ? I hope you really do not. Thanks!

I purchased a GMC petrol driven multi-garden tool on-line. I was lucky I found that the petrol hose has severed as it enters the tank or it could have burst into flames! I shortened the hose and it works but only with a fullish tank. I wrote to GMC asking for a new hose to be sent....NO REPLY. Avoid this company, or take a risk. Apart from having to repair it before I could use it, it all works great.

I purchased a new Garden Shredder from GMC just over 24 months back, it now needs a new set of blades which is perfectly acceptable, what is not acceptable is apparently GMC cannot provide them, their UK spares partner 'Tool Spares Online' cannot either, so basically they are telling me that the whole unit is a consumable because you cannot get spare blades, this was not a cheap unit so please avoid this company as they will take your money but will not tell you that you cannot get spares.
