Go Green Taxis Avis 

New Years Eve 2022. Newbury branch. from the booking through to final drop off, the service from Go Green taxis was superb. Such a professional and courteous service. Pick up and drop off on time, vehicles clean, drivers professional and polite. The customer service from the bookings team was exceptional and clear communication throughout. Will certainly use again. Thank you all.

Great service. We used Go Green two evening in succession, the 30th and 31st December. And despite the new year probably being the busiest night of the year the cab arrived exactly when promised, both the cars were spotless and the drivers polite & professional.
Excellent service and highly recommended.

Didn't find address so ended up being picked up an hour late. There tracking system doesn't work in rural areas and they wont accept fault for not finding you. Blamed this on there being no street lights!

Horrendous service.
Booked a taxi to the airport initially. Pick up on time but car was filthy dirty.
When I arrived at Heathrow after a 17 hour flight, I booked another taxi to get home but accidentally booked it the wrong way around. Called up straight away and they said they had someone in Wembley who was only 20-25mins away. I agreed to wait. Got a call 15 mins later saying the traffic is bad and it will likely be another 45 mins. I asked if I could cancel as I was too tired to wait that long after such a long flight and a 24 hour delay. They said if I was to cancel they will charge £97!!!! I asked them to be reasonable and apologised for the error in my initial booking explaining I was tired and made a mistake. They had no intention to charge any less. I asked how they calculated that charge and was told the driver was on his way and had already driven all that way to get to me. 1) the driver was in Wembley 14 miles away and 2) they hadn’t even made it to me yet! They then agreed to charge £50 instead and I said fine as I just wanted to get home And told them i won’t be using them again and their response was that’s fine that’s your choice. No customer service at all and no understanding or empathy that I made a genuine mistake and they haven’t lost anything other than a 15 mins drive. Anyways, checked the app to see they had charged me £97 after all. Absolutely shocking, disgusting and pointless company. Reading the other reviews i can’t believe I even used them at all.

Though accepting booking a taxi for a Saturday evening (7pm) is a busy time. Using the opportunity to exploit customers by charging well over double the normal rate charged by others is unethical. To clarify. They wanted to charge £53 for a taxi quoted and ultimately charged £22 by others. We tried to cancel the booking, but there was no answer via phone or no option online to cancel.

Couldn’t fault the service. I booked a few days before on the app and had immediate confirmation. All very easy, no waiting for quotes. Taxi arrived just before booked time for both outward and return journey and sent messages to alert us. We were catching a train so timings were important. Emails with confirmation of payment were sent and I noticed we were charged 50p for being 3 minutes late on our return trip, as our train was late, but I don’t have a problem with that. We were sent links to pre pay online, although we chose to pay cash.
We made a last minute amendment to our return journey, which they accommodated. Great service thank you.

Only leaving one star as I can’t leave zero! Utterly appalling service this evening - cab booked and confirmed only to receive a call 20 mins before it was due to say they shouldn’t have accepted the booking and didn’t have anything available until after midnight! Our party being left at a restaurant far out of the way, that was closing and with no option or alternative offer to help us get home! Local staff ended up having to drive us home - very embarrassing as I was with customers.

Horrified that this firm debited an extra 50p waiting time to the fixed fee without prior agreement. The taxi had been booked by me for a 10am pick-up of my elderly parents from their house. The driver turned up at 10.02 (I received a text and a call) and though he hadn't even rung the door bell by then, charged my parents who have dementia and mobility problems 50p for leaving at 10.06 rather than 10.02. I rang the main number to complain and the guy wasn't even able to explain the charge properly saying waiting was charged at 50p a minute from the time the car arrives. Buried deep in the terms and conditions on the website it says waiting is charged at 40p plus VAT after 3 minutes grace! So there's no way they are telling people about this hidden and completely unreasonable charge at the time of booking. Considering reporting these illegal charging practices to Trading Standards.

Pre-booked a week before travel for a pick up from the airport.
20 minutes after pickup time, I receive a text saying 'due to high demand your booking is running late'. Called the help line - 13 mins on hold and no info.
Waited over half an hour with no information - ended using a black cab.
Avoid.

The worst experience that I have ever encountered. Please do not use this company. All other negative reviews are similar to mine and if I could give a zero star rating then I would as they do not deserve one star. Nina (the manager) was extremely rude and refused to rectify the issues that we encountered. On 14 September our driver was due at 2am to take us to LGW but by 2:15am we were still waiting so we called the office to explain that our taxi had not arrived! A replacement taxi was sent and 30 minutes later we were on our way to Gatwick. All drivers are self employed and our chauffeur was lovely but we received no apologies from the Go Green office. We returned home in the UK on 25 September and again we were collected by a self employed member of staff (Mico) who was absolutely lovely but we had to contact Go Green as they sent the wrong size car to collect myself, my husband and my three year old little boy. Our journey home was uncomfortable as the driver struggled to fit our luggage in the vehicle. Mico could not see out of her rear view mirror and myself and my 3 year old had to have the parcel shelf with us in the back of the car. Both my husband and I called Go Green to explain the situation but Nina (the manager) was rude, unhelpful and unprofessional to say the least. I got cut off on two occasions and two members of staff refused to put me through to Mark and Mike (the directors) both of whom we know and even had the audacity to pretend to be foreign when I persisted on speaking to someone. I am fond of Mark (the director) but I am so disappointed that we have not been contacted as requested and we have decided to take the matter further and seek legal advice. Once again, I urge you not to use this company!

Terrible. Pre-booked taxi for an airport and they arrived 55 mins late.

Obtained a quote for a 2.6 mile (each way) round trip from our hotel, admittedly coming back after midnight, but the fare was £50.15. I though the operator had said £15 which would in itself have been expensive. The operator apologised, but said this was the price laid down on his list. It’s essential that you nail these guys down to a price before using them.

Taxi turned up half an hour late despite us calling the office and the driver, and then wandering around the village trying to find him. Totally missed the surprise event we were attending. Called the office over next 4 days and told each time no managers available. E mailed - no response. On last occasion they said they were too busy to deal with my complaint and put the phone down.

I booked a taxi 3 weeks in advance for 8pm and then to be collected at 12 Midnight. A taxi arrived at 8am and then when I rang they said that I had filled the times in incorrectly! They were incredibly unhelpful I was then told that they were not able to help me at all. Don’t book online always phone and check that the times are correct as there isn’t a am or pm option.

Booked taxi under my name to go from hotel to wedding reception. Was told it would be 30 mins. After around 20 mins a go green taxi arrives at front of hotel, I didn't get a confirmation message or phone call, was just about to go and see if it was for me but then someone else got in it and they drove off. I assumed that one had been booked by someone else, however when there was no sign of another go green taxi for another 25 mins I called to ask what was going on. They sounded confused and then said that they hadn't sent one because they weren't sure if I definitely still wanted a taxi (?? - pretty sure the original one was for me and the driver just didn't bother to check who had booked it and just took a random instead). I asked for another taxi ASAP; one eventually arrived but driver didn't know the location of the (well known) wedding reception venue and started driving to the wrong place before I corrected him. When we eventually arrived the fare was way more expensive than quoted. I don't normally write bad reviews but thought this was needed! Shame most people won't get the opportunity to read the reviews before they book their taxi.

Had an airport pickup for 4am in the morning for work, worked out fab, driver was on time, smooth journey, made a long day a lot less stressful. Thanks a lot!

Had booked a taxi to go from hotel on edge of Oxford to go to a city centre venue. 10 minutes before pick up I received a missed call from them. I hadn’t heard them ring as I was in the shower. At the time of pick up I noticed the missed call and rang the number, it was Go Green cars, who then told me that they couldn’t pick up for another 2 hours as there was a lot of roadworks in the city.
2 things:
1) They didn’t leave a message I just happened to noticed a missed call
2) The roadworks in Oxford has been going on for several weeks, when they took the booking they must’ve known about the delays. I suspect that you just over a book to cram in as many customers as possible and accept the fact that they will disappoint many customers. In which case it was too late to get another taxi I had to drive into the city. You didn’t care in the slightest. I would read the reviews here and you will see that they are not worth dealing with it is too risky!
