I deeply regret ever opening up an account with GoldStar. I sold my remaining silver bullion 12/26/25 and have been given the runaround with GoldStar ever since then..Every agent I talked with was clueless about my sale, but they were extremely generous with their lip service. I even discussed my ongoing problem with a supervisor and I may havel been better off talking to a wall. She took my complaint and supposedly handled my problem, but never did a follow-up nor called me back, and the issue remained unresolved. Numerous call backs were fruitless until today. I had to jump through hoop after hoop to finally resolve the problem and I'm still skeptical about the finality of it. I even received a letter from Monex in regular snail mail dated 12/31/25 verifying the transaction and yet GoldStar was clueless that it ever occurred. For the last 15+ years, they most certainly expect to receive my fees in a timely manner but are as incompetent as Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy when it comes to paying me. GoldStar has truly lowered the bar on service and integrity.

I just closed out my IRA from Goldstartrust. Before you open any account with them I would very highly shop around elsewhere. There are many more competitive companies out there. Their over priced service fees will eat into any profits you make. Their customer service department also has a lot to be desired.
Just an update on my review. Goldstartrust was kind enough to respond back on my complaints about my service fees. When I took my IRA out in 2016 they were $65. In 2017 they jumped to $75. Then in 2022 to $150 Goldstartrust finds that quite acceptable. I showed them my information from Charles Schwab Bank and they are zero. You may want to think a bit what is the best choice for you.

I transferred a conventional IRA to Goldstar so I could use it to contain precious metals. They worked with Birch Gold to make the process go smoothly. Funds were transferred from the former IRA custodian via check to Goldstar. after they received it they notified Birch Gold which worked with me to use them to purchase precious metals. After selected the precious metals and Birch Gold received them, they were sent to Goldstar for storage. Goldstar charges a fee for handling the account and storing the precious metals. Birch Gold covers the fee for the first year.

Getting my IRA set up and moved to you was a bit tedious, but your employees were helpful. Now that I am trying to move away, I find it difficult to jump through the hoops that you place in my way as well as the fact that DAYS after I submit a withdrawal request I am told that I filled out the wrong form and have to re-submit and wait for 3-5 more business days. I wish I had worked through a fiduciary that would help through all processes and not done what I did with Goldstar Trust.

If you're looking for a rapid and clear-communication dealing with your IRA trust company, DON'T waste your time or money with Gold Star Trust. I spoke today with a "Customer Service Rep named Juan" and could not be more dissatisfied. I kept asking a question about whether they'd received a letter from the gold/silver sales firm that made the transfer 10 days ago, and all he could keep saying was "We have to wait for the money." The indication on the sales invoice from the numismatics company was that it was already done. Asking Juan for clarification was useless and he eventually put me on a terminal hold. Never again!

I called in and spoke with a gentleman named Gordon asking to convert some of my silver to gold and instead of converting he insisted to leave the silver and don't convert.
Being in the customer service industry, if a customer request for your assistance, yes advise them however if they are set on their desire...your company should complete the task.
After having Birch Gold sell some metals for money I needed within a month, you have been playing keep away with my money. It has now been two months trying to get my money sent to my bank and still no money. Your process’s are very comber sum and repetitive. I didn’t understand your paper work(forms) and made mistakes, and every time I was told the process has to start over, more forms to fill out and more calls to you to verify info when you have the forms I filled out already. More weeks waiting.
As long as Birch Gold uses you for go between I will not be buying metals again. I will find a different supplier.

If you have your precious at Goldstar, get them out now. The withdrawal process is cumbersome and complicated. A month after I started the process, they told me I had to sign another form and they couldn't tell me why the form wasn't provided at the start. In the meantime gold dropped about $200, costing me thousands. Get out now. put you're money elsewhere.
