I visited GO Outdoors in Barnstaple needing help to find a suitable chair as I currently have a broken back. Leo was exceptional from the moment I asked for assistance. He took the time to carefully help me find the right chair, and then stayed with me to gather several other items I couldn't reach on my own. Came into try on some hiking boots on. Thought the range available was great.
Jeremy made himself known to us early on and was very helpful when needed. Didn't awkwardly linger and wasn't push or overbearing. Bought from the store instead of online after liking the experience

Order Delayes but Resolved
Our order was delayed by a day, not a problem with the young girl and gentleman working at 14:30 on Saturday 4th July. They both made our experience much better, even with the gentleman helping us refund our order and purchase a different one! We agreed that the staff at Barnstable Go Outdoors are amazing and super friendly!!

Ordered an item online to collect …
Ordered an item online to collect at the store.
Went to collect 45mins later, travel time.
Only to be told that the had not arrived yet 🤔. There was a basket full of them by the entrance, questioned the response, them told the paperwork wasn't ready.
Had order details on my phone, then told they had no proof of payment, showed bank account as payment proof.
Eventually allowed to leave with item.

Kevin was amazing
Kevin was amazing. So helpful. Unfortunately they didn’t have the shelter we wanted, but he tracked one down in the Launceston store which we would have to drive past on our way to Cornwall camping. We can’t praise his customer service enough.
We would also like to say that other members of staff were lovely too, so helpful.

Engaged and super helpful team
I arrived at around 7.15pm and was greeted immediately by a chap, possibly the eldest one. I then approached two staff who while engaged in their work, both stopped straight away and on asking about the walking shoes, one lad graciously deferred to the other and they were both affable. The lad with an unusual name gave me great guidance and insight into which boots were right for me. The lass at the till Casey I think was chatty and also very personable. I was engaged with every staff member and they all were happy in their roles.
