Amazing service from a lovely chap…
I’m sorry I don’t know the name of the chap who helped me (he was Chinese) but he was so lovely and super helpful! Knew his stuff, gave unbiased advice and didn't up-sell - quizzed me on what I would be doing and offered several choices of product, nothing was too much trouble (I ended up buying men’s hiking boots instead of women’s).
He is a credit to the company he works for!

Nice vacuum flask shame about the Go Outdoors Card
I did find an item that I was looking for. I do find the trading practice of offering lower pricesbtompeiplevehinhavr subscribed to a Go Outdoors card particularly annoying and had another suitable shop been available I would have used that instead. The card system is both a 'faff' and a crude attempt to lock me in to using Go Outdoors which just makes me feel angry. (Pleasant staff though - so why not release them from this archaic retail practice?)

I found exactly what I was looking for (v warm & waterproof coat) and more!!
Great prices and the staff were really friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
I bought a wild bike from another Go Outdoors in Birmingham previously for one of my children; it’s the best bike she’s ever had!

Useful selection of walking boots and shoes
The shop had 20-30 different models clearly displayed. I chose 3 different models to try and the assistant promptly found the right size in all 3. With member’s discount (£5/year) the prices were reasonable.
