Had to return some hiking shoes that had started falling apart after 6 months. Maria was extremely helpful. She patiently assisted us trying about 10 other pairs on. Instead of replacing we upgraded. She was polite and helpful throughout. Way beyond expectations. This really makes us want to shop here again. Thanks Maria.

I came to Go Outdoors today having researched well hiking shoes, and having put in order of preference the make of hiking shoes I was looking for. Knowing quite a lot about why I wanted each individual make. The sales people I’d had the misfortune to be greeted by in other shops to date had been uninformed? Uninterested - frankly useless. I knew more than them.
TODAY WAS DIFFERENT BECAUSE AT GO OUTDOORS I MET DALE!!!!
Dale knows everything about the wares he sells. All the makes, what makes them good, how one brand is better than another - how one suits your nature of hiking better than another. He is WONDERFUL - and a rare asset for any specialised outlet because he really knows his stuff. But more than this he treats his customers as human beings and as individuals. I only hope this member of staff’s pay is reflective of what he is worth to your company - and the customer satisfaction he is without doubt creating in your Kingston-upon Thames branch. I’ll be back Dale - and thank you for your incomparable advice on my hiking shoes - I’ll be back soon, now I know you’re there.

Hassti was exceptionally pleasant and helpful. I phoned to check the item I was after was in stock (the website said there was only one in the store), Hassti put it aside for me and instantly presented me with it when when I arrived to collect it. Perfect customer service.

The female manager at Kingston branch was extremely rude. She did refund me for what was obviously a faulty item but her attitude was very unprofessional. Will not shop there again!

Good value for exactly what we wanted, especially with a blue light card that supports all our emergency services and volunteers!

We visited the Kingston store enquiring about lightweight camping chairs, and we were shown quite a few by a staff member. He was incredibly knowledgeable and really helped us decide which ones. We've used the chairs this evening and they lived up to their excellent reviews. Well done Go Outdoors!

I recently visited go outdoors Kingston and found all the staff extremely helpful !
I purchased walking boots amongst other items ! The boots were slightly tight ! So returned for bigger size ! The transition was perfect thanks to Sasha and Tiffany !

Went with aim of purchasing tent, rucksacks and a few other items for 2 boys doing Gold DofE and who want to do more hiking/camping in free time. Great range of products. We were lucky enough to be helped by Sacha who has a wealth of knowledge and is extremely helpful, professional and friendly all in one. We managed to get everything we needed (except the tent was not in stock so we ordered it) and the DofE discount is honoured. Thank you so much Sacha for all your advice, help and time

Great store. Staff are always helpful and we’ve found it the best place in Kingston for DofE kit and advice. Rob and the store manager were very helpful on our last visit yesterday.

We went in as a family of 4 to find suitable backpacks for our upcoming travelling trip. We found Robin in the store who was extrememly helpful. He helped us find the prefect fit and was very knowledgeable. As you didnt have what we needed in store, we had to go home and order it online. Very competitve pricing, and we also have become members so will be coming back more often for the rest of our stuff for the trip!

I came in to buy a slim inflatable single bedding roll last week (early August) and came away with exactly what I needed, an own brand one. However I went back the next day as I suddenly thought perhaps I should buy a more expensive/better quality one for my son’s 10 days away with Sea Scouts in the Netherlands.

Likely worrying unnecessarily I took a look at what was on the shelves and saw an assistant and asked him for his opinion on the reliability of these own brand rolls. He was brilliant and said they were good and would suit the needs of this trip. He then went on to point out that there were TWO different lengths and was I aware? NO! I wasn’t aware and he completely saved me!

I called my son who was at home and confirmed that I’d bought the “compact” version which would have not suited him at 6’5 tall, and who was leaving for his trip in a few days, so time was of the essence.

I came in this week to return the compact one, told the assistant how great her colleague was and she said it was very likely Shon. So a huge shout out to Shon!!!

Served by Robin at Kingston Go Outdoors. He took the time to allow my son to try on several walking boots offering guidance throughout. Previously went to Cotswold in Kingston but they showed no interest. Will be buying from this store again for my youngest son.

The airbeam tent I bought online had pinprick hole, I called customer service who told me to take it to a store. Sean and Andrew in the Kingston store were absolutely fantastic, they resolved my issue quickly and in exactly the way I had hoped. Very impressed.
