We went into store today and bought some walking shoes and other bits. When we left we realised the shoes had gone through more expensive than advertised. Rebecca on the tills sorted this for us and swiftly arranged a refund of the difference, no quibble. Excellent customer service 👏

Frustrated with the stock held in store
The goods purchased so far, appear to be just the ticket, and when I visit your retail store your staff are very helpful.
However, my biggest gripe and frustration is that what seems to be available on line, doesn't match up to the availability in my nearest retail store. When I take a special trip to my local store, the stock doesn't exist, even though the on line information states differently.
So much so that if I am buying from go-outdoors, I first order on line.
This has happened a few times. Old fashioned, perhaps, I do enjoy visiting my local store, and nine times out ten, end up buying more than I intended.

Rude and unhelpful bad customer service
I had bought a membership card with an online order for a pair of boots. The boots arrived but I got no information about the discount card. I then went to the shop to buy and item and asked what had happened to my card. The staff were rude unhelpful didn’t listen to my answers to their questions the. Told me I was wrong. Even though the email was correct as I got order control said email. All very frustrating

We are sorry to hear of your experience in store when asking about your membership card. This is not how we would expect customers' queries to be dealt with and your comments have been passed on to the store's management team to be investigated further.
Membership cards can take up to 15 working days to arrive and we are still within this expected timeframe.
To access our members' prices without a physical card just log in to the GO Outdoors website with the email address associated with the order and the discounted prices will automatically apply.
For in-store purchases a colleague should be able to locate your membership if you can confirm your details.
We appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention and hope we have the opportunity to restore your confidence in us in the future.

Great customer service from Peter who was helping me to decide which walking boots were the best for me. I do a lot of hiking and got coming a hiking race next month. I needed a good pair of boots that doesn’t give me blisters and pain in my calf. Peter showed me 3 different shoes, explained the difference, tried them on and with all his knowledge, I bought my new pair of walking boots.

Looking for hiking boots. A very large range available in all sizes, from budget to premium brands. Able to try them on.
Friendly young man answered my questions.
BTW they stock a very wide range of mainly local regions' OS maps.
