GO Outdoors - Thurrock Avis 

It was the first time I used one of your stores. I decided to use the Thurrock store. I was really impressed by Ruby who helped me find the right walking shoes. She was very knowledgeable and could answer my questions. Ruby was very polite and nothing was too much trouble. She is an asset to your store and I will use your store again.

Kelly was amazing and was very professional and made sure she faced me when talking as I’m deaf and dealt with my return of my sleeping bag and liner as it was not suitable for me. It was effortless and all sorted writhing 5 mins. The store is amazing and the hot and 20 mins drive was worth it. Staff were great, very accessible as I was on my mobility scooter. I was able to see my tent I had brought and I’m super happy with it. So much variety of outdoor pursuits items!! Thank you so much Kelly for getting my reason for visiting sorted so quickly.

Jenni was amazing, very helpful. I had no clue what trousers I needed for my work and she found the perfect ones alongside some cool belts too!

I think the customer service is one of the best experiences i’ve ever witnessed in any retail store. Furthermore, the help of Angelos and Kelly really improved my experience. They’re expertise and patience really helped me.

Today I was in desperate need of a few bits and what a delightful treat to find everything I needed in one go . Phoebe was ever so helpful and resourceful and guided me in the right direction efficiently . The store is well set out and all staff are helpful . Thank you Thurrock !

Superb customer service. Came into the store on 3 occasions over the past few weeks in preparation for 7 day hike in Africa. Explained I’m fairly new to hiking and have a specific kit list, at no point were the team trying to upsell. All recommendations based on my specifications with the staffs personal experience in mind which were super helpful.
At any point where the member of staff was unsure, they organised someone else who knew more about the topic, handed over to them and spent easily an hour each time to go though my options.

Cannot fault the service received in store, but online operation was woeful. Wish I had read the poor reviews on trustpilot before placing an order. Item ordered did not arrive until 10 days after planned date, multiple emails to customer service ignored, after an 80 min phonecall I was informed the store had had my item for 5 days but would need another 7 days to prepare the bike. Terrible service, if you are looking to order online, dont bother, you have been warned, all the negative reviews can't be false.

Angelos was amazing. Made several checks for us on stock level, good product knowledge and reserved the products we wanted for collection and even remebered us 2 days later. Perfect service .. thank you.

We find that there are less tents setup than in the previous building. It would be nice to have more camping furniture setup to get more of a visual.
New shop is nicely laid out, usually well-stocked. Hoping they sort out some ventilation or air conditioning upstairs, it is stiffling hot, worse so during a heatwave.
All staff is helpful and friendly.
Shame this location is no longer an Evri Parcel Shop.
Special mention to Oscar who has been very knowledgeable in helping us buy all our camping gear during our numerous visits.

Serena was incredibly supportive while helping me pack and offering a bag, making the process smooth and stress‑free. The whole Go Outdoors team showed genuine compassion and were consistently helpful throughout my visit. A must visit modern and a bigger store now compared with previous store.

Good product and delivery. When in store looking at products staff helpful and friendly. Delivery updates very good.

We had great service from Poppy! She was able to advise us on lots of purchases and took time with us to ensure that everything was perfect for us.

Staff were very helpful in-store. If something wasn't available on the shelf, they were available to go and get it from the back!

Before purchasing on line we visited Go Outdoors new store in Thurrock Essex.
The store it self seemed very nice and well stocked.
However, once we needed some help from the staff, they either told us to find someone downstairs as they did not work in that department… When the staff member arrived upstairs she really did not know much about the products.. ( she was very polite though )
Then as we only had a small car we tried to organise a delivery at the cashiers only to be told they can’t and I must order the product on line.

Everything was available that I needed for my horses under one roof at great prices. The staff member Angelos at the till was friendly, polite & very helpful providing me with the information I asked for.
