Dreadful
Lots of good reviews on here which is why I booked this company.
They turned up late, and were only providing the crackling, the hog and the potatoes. The crackling was not crispy so we couldn't serve it, the hog was lukewarm (as it is cooked off site, then reheated and they did not allow enough time on site to reheat it....unsure how that sits with health and safety?) and the potatoes were sad looking new potatoes.
They also mislead you when they say they are close to your location - we were in Wycombe and the pig had been cooked in Birmingham. The chef they sent was scruffy and had a dreadful attitude.
They will of course try to defend themselves and did offer a £150 refund for the 'disappointment', whilst maintaining that 'every pig produces slightly softer crackling' as their excuse for not being able to get crackling on their plate and letting us know 'all temperature checks were carried out on site' which of course we cannot verify. My feeling is that their response indicates these complaints happen a lot and perhaps they have expanded faster than they ought to have done.
Dreadful customer service too, when I asked for a call prior to my event, they suggested 8pm on a Tuesday?
If you like food, I suggest you look elsewhere for a more authentic hog roast.
