Bat & Ball Country Pub and Haywards Restaurant Avis 10

Been here many times over the years but not for Sunday lunch before. The service was very good, attentive, pleasant, knowledgable. The roast beefs were mediocre, small portions of meat that was tough, the veggies were cold and the ice creams were a joke - never paid £3 before for a less than golf ball size "scoop" that was half melted. Several kids shouting and screaming. I'll go again, but only during the week and not for Sunday roast. And not for ice cream.

Burns Night event late Jan. been before and always have a great evening. This year just that little bit better again. Food was top class, service equally so but the event is made special with the entertainers. Superb pipes and accordion and backed up by a great violinist. Huge thanks to all at the B&B. Ps-the Haggis was fabulous

Fantastic service and atmosphere. Delicious food at very reasonable prices.
Recently visited for the Burn's Night function which was an excellent evening's entertainment with a fine Scottish themed menu!

Excellent and above food 10 out of 10. Service 10 out of 10 definitely will be going back.🤓

Visited 5th May 2024.Food was very poor, Air Fried Chips euk Beer Battered Haddock was not Cooked, inside was pure dough, Sea Bass on violet potatoes,why ? Fish was overcooked to the point of being chewy. Also very expensive. Poor.

We have visited this pub on 3 different occasions. We had a 40th birthday party, we stayed overnight on their campsite and then went to their new years eve party last night. I can honestly say it's the nicest, friendliest, most welcoming pub we've ever been to. The pub it's self is lovely, the staff are always friendly, helpful & welcoming and the food is amazing. So wish it was our local.

Visited this lovely pub on 28th May this year & had an excellent experience. Food was remarkable, service was 10/10 (Thank you Harry!) & the setting is stunning.

Harry’s service was much appreciated, he went out of his way to help us & his manner was kind & professional.

Would definitely recommend this establishment to others.
Will visit again soon!

Stunning venue, beautiful old public house with camping on site, pretty illuminated duck pond with lots of outdoor seating, a warm professional greeting. Ample parking. Menu somewhat limited, bordering on À la cart, not ideal for little ones. Food quality and portion size medium-good, slightly higher cost than I would have expected but overall a good experience.
