The wait time to get the car and to return the car was quite lengthy. I don’t blame the person working the front desk, I blame the fact that there was only one person working the front desk when there were multiple people in line both coming and going when we arrived.

Car smelled of Cigars
I was given a car that absolutely reeked of cigarette/cigar smoke. I absolutely DO NOT blame the Hertz employee who was doing everything by himself, was alone, very friendly and had a car ready for me at my designated pick up time. And the car was attempted to be cleaned, he said he did it himself as best he could all alone. It smelled horrible, especially for someone allergic to smoke, by the time I drove it to Grand Rapids airport, I was sick, nauseated, with a headache and sinus congestion. There was also ash all over the dashboard, in the air vents but the car was otherwise clean, except for the smoke smell. It wasn't Hertz better moment after all the good rental experiences I have had being a Gold Member.

I rarely take the time to leave reviews, but my recent experience at Hertz genuinely deserves one. From the moment I walked up to the counter, Ahmed the representative and co- Team made me feel like a valued customer — not just another transaction.
They were friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly efficient. Even when I had a question about my reservation, they handled it with patience and a great attitude, making what could have been a stressful situation completely seamless. It's clear they take real pride in their work.
In an era where good customer service can feel rare, this experience stood out. If you're renting from this location, you're in great hands. I'll absolutely be back.
