When the airport is SOLD OUT of cars.....
No cars at Eugene airport probably because it was a Univ of Oregon football game weekend. Booked with this Hertz off-airport and they were able to get cars. The check-in process was super easy and the person checking us in was very professional. Drop off after hours was easy too. Nice thing is there wasn't any multiple airport fees!

Poor Customer Service
Poor Customer Service. I was over charged on my Rental for a extra day which I did not even use

No washer fluid.
Couldn’t get a car at the airport so had to uber to facility just 5 miles away. Got the car and drove off, only to have the sun on the dirty windshield make it difficult to see while driving. You’re probably saying “why not use the windshield wipers to clean it”, and that would have been great but there was no washer fluid!! Luckily it rained the next day and they got cleaned.

Charged me even though I showed up to rent my car
I showed up to rent my car, and the scanners they have to scan drivers licenses said my license was invalid and so they would not rent to me. Both the DMV and another rental company have scanned my license and have told me it is valid (the other rental company rented me a car). Hertz charged me a "no show" fee because of their technology, and will not refund my money because it is "in their policy". I would recommend that they find a back up way to validate a drivers license other than their scanners, and charging a fee that wasn't disclosed is poor business practice. I will never rent from Hertz again.
