Helpful service, perfect car for a rental on short notice
Had to rent a car on short notice to deal with a pet health issue & Hertz on Post Road in Fairfield, CT came through for us! The manager was very friendly and understanding, and secured a mid-size Buick SUV for us. The car was clean & in good working order - perfect for our needs! Thank you for your efficient and professional service.

Very happy w/ the location-- but very unhappy with the new policy changes
The manager was excellent! Very helpful closing out my old contract and opening my new contract. Everything was done smoothly and without any problem.
I mentioned that I would like to try a different car next time and he mentioned that hertz would be getting some new cars in their fleet soon and he would keep me posted with something that i might like.
The only thing I was not happy with was the fact that Hertz tge company is only allowing 28 day contracts now. This makes my life harder and this means I literally have to go into the location once a month which takes up more of my time away from my work life and my family life. If this is the case then the company should be honoring lower pricing, especially for Presidential members. Aside from the fact that the hold on my credit card for the deposit should be returned instantaneously ( not 2-5 days later)bc then I am committing to a new contract with another deposit that same day.. Its unfortunate that the hertz accounting dept does not return the deposit right away, it always takes like 2-5 days ( VERY absurd bc then they go on to hold an addl deposit for the next rental contract)
I was very happy with the service in the location but like I stated I am not happy with the companies new policies bc I have been renting with hertz for 10+ years consistently every month.
