Hertz - Fort Myers - Fowler Street Avis 

The staff is very friendly; there are always rental options available, and service is prompt.

I had reserve a vehicle in PGDA airport in Florida, returning to Orlando, then I switched it to picking up in Ft. Myers, for some reason I messed up and didn't see the return location. But if you check in your system, you will see that with previous reservation, I'm wanting to return it to MCO in Orlando.

The website gives a variety of options during the reservation process, and at checkout if gives an option to pay in full to save more, which when you chose this it only accepts a partial payment (due now). Well, when I went to pick up the car there were SO MANY additional charges that I cancelled, and called customer service for a refund, which the agent told me in his office; (it's very difficult to get a human on the customer service phone), so I did what he suggested and did get a human. After discussing the entire situation with the agent, he promised me a full refund without a cancellation penalty. I had booked this reservation online 10/12/2026, and looked at my bank account on the 14th (the day I was to pick the vehicle up, following my visit to the location),and I noticed that no withdrawal had been made on my account despite the 10/12 reservation online indication aq payment of $207.59; so I assumed the full refund had been transacted. Then on 10/17/2026 I see a draw of $207.59 from my account. Listen to my most honest & reliable advice: "don't mess with this company", I've rented from them in the past and it was a pleasant experience, but I will never do it again. They have changed their business model, need to get what they deserve as a result of their inability to retain customer satisfaction, only distrust will result from what I assume to be newly updated & AI based business model, at which they are failing miserably.

Terrible decision to use hertz. Was overcharged

Vesna at Hertz is absolutely awesome! I rent cars often for work, and she and the entire crew always take such great care of me. They consistently have a car ready when I arrive and make the whole process quick and easy. Vesna is always friendly, helpful, and goes above and beyond. It’s so nice knowing I can count on her and the team every time I rent. Highly recommend!
