Hertz - Hartford - New Britian Avenue Avis 

I was charged for a higher class car than what I received

The employee made a bad situation work. Hertz locations always overbook their car rentals. 11 reservations with 3 available cars. Happens all the time.

Very helpful and competent manager at West Hartford CT HLR.

Where do we start? I am hoping the conditions of the cars improve. Letting cars out with 110,000 miles or boasting they rent sum cars with over 200,000 miles scares me as a driver , customer and stock holder.

Also the condition of the car was worn due to miles and charging cost and took twice as long and battery lasted two time lessor.
Interion was falling apart and smelled.
I did my best on doing with what I could with what was given to me that I paid full price for.

It was an amazing quick process then having the free upgrade was nice. Car was amazing thank you

This location has always worked out well for me. I have only 1 or 2 times had to wait any significant amount of time, I have rented from this location probably 75-100 times in last 5 years. The only time there was ever an issue with getting a car was during the Pandemic when the world was ending.
The only caution I would give is this is also a location that supports Uber so Monday Morning at 9-10 ish all the uber drivers are exchanging etc. Normally the staff sees me and as Presidents Circle member jumps me to head of line. I rent from them regularly and its a small staff who know me. The other thing to bear in mind is this is a small location, not an airport so your choices will be limited and the potential do a specific class has to be reserved at least 1 business day ion advance. They will generally not be able to support same day reservations etc

The quality and cleanliness of the vehicle was great and the process for the rental was expedited courteously and swiftly.

In a very busy but understaffed location, the agent there works very hard. He does his best for a number of customers.

Rude, they never have the cars you reserve, the cars aren’t clean when you pick them up. And they have the “I don’t care attitude take the cat or go some where else!!!”

Every person that works at that location is great and helpful. Don’t take no shit from people and is. They are also understanding and kind to everyone that’s not giving them trouble. Great experience always

The young man was very nice no problems getting the car but car was dirty and windshield inside was so dirty I had to pull into store to get washer and paper towels to clean it, car was not vacuumed cargo area especially. I returned car same way I got it. It was so busy I didn’t get to talk to the young man who rented it to us when I returned. Think twice before renting from Hertz again.
