I am BEYOND PISSED about my experience…
I am BEYOND PISSED about my experience with Hertz.
I rented a vehicle from September 1 through September 30. I brought the car back ON TIME AND CLEAN. I did exactly what I was supposed to do as a customer, so please explain to me why a few days later I woke up and MY BANK ACCOUNT WAS NEGATIVE $960.
HERTZ TOOK MY MONEY AND LEFT MY ACCOUNT ALMOST $1,000 IN THE NEGATIVE.
Do y’all understand how serious that is?\! People have BILLS, RENT, FOOD, GAS, CHILDREN, and other responsibilities\. You cannot just have someone wake up to nearly $1,000 missing from their account and then casually tell them, **“You have to wait 7–10 business days\.”**
EXCUSE ME?\! 🤨
So Hertz can take the money IMMEDIATELY, but when it’s time for the situation to be corrected and for me to get my money and deposit back, suddenly I have to wait **7–10 BUSINESS DAYS?\!**
Absolutely ridiculous\.
The car was returned\.
**ON TIME\.**
The car was returned\.
**CLEAN\.**
I fulfilled MY responsibility\.
Yet somehow I’m the one being inconvenienced and left with a **NEGATIVE $960 BALANCE** while I wait for MY OWN MONEY?\!
And on top of all of that, I’m STILL waiting for my deposit\!
This experience has completely changed the way I look at Hertz\. I will NEVER rent from this company again\. I don’t care if Hertz is the last rental car company with a vehicle available — **I’LL WALK BEFORE I RENT FROM THEM AGAIN\.** 😭
If you decide to rent from Hertz, WATCH YOUR BANK ACCOUNT after you return that vehicle\. Take pictures, keep every receipt, save every confirmation, and CHECK EVERY SINGLE CHARGE\.
Because waking up to your account being **NEGATIVE $960** after returning a rental ON TIME AND CLEAN is absolutely INSANE\.
**HERTZ, DO BETTER\. GIVE PEOPLE THEIR MONEY BACK\.**
